## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 10.0.12 — 2026-09-03

YOUR ACCOUNT, BETTER PROTECTED

Signed-in devices. See every device signed in to your account, each named by
what it actually is, and sign any of them out. Signing a device out now truly
ends its session instead of leaving it working for days.

Primary device. Make your phone the one device that can never be signed out
remotely — not even by someone who knows your password. Moving primary status
needs a code emailed to you.

Sign-in alerts. You're notified whenever your account is signed in to from a
device that isn't your primary one, so an unfamiliar sign-in doesn't go
unnoticed.

Change your phone number. Your number can be used to sign in, so changing it
is now treated as seriously as changing your password: it takes your primary
device, your password, and a code texted to the new number. Your old number
and your email are both told when it happens.

Two-factor authentication. Add an authenticator app to your account.

Public or shared computers. Tick the box when signing in somewhere that isn't
yours and the session ends automatically after about half a day.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE

Security emails and texts — new-device sign-ins, password reset codes, phone
number changes, verification codes — now arrive in the language you use the
app in, across all 23 languages, instead of always in English.

FIXES

• Tapping a notification opens the app again
• Help opens again
• Signing out no longer leaves you stranded, and no longer shows the previous
  account's information
• "Sign out everywhere" no longer reports itself as someone else signing you out
• The "verify your email" prompt stops reappearing once you've verified
• A changed phone number shows immediately instead of reverting
• Delete account and two-factor setup are no longer dead buttons
• Changing your password no longer breaks the screen
• Community and Events "new since you last looked" badges survive a restart
• Optional legal name at sign-up for volunteers
• Clearer wording throughout the account and security screens, and fewer
  technical error messages

### 1.0.10 — 2026-08-31

GET HELP WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
Describe what's happening in your own words and the app opens the right report for you — no sign-up. Verify a phone number and your alert reaches nearby volunteers, who can text you back on it. Would rather not verify? Get a list of rescue organisations near you to call directly instead. Create an account later with the same number and the alert is waiting in My Alerts.

WORKS WHERE THE SIGNAL DOESN'T
Rescue work happens in places coverage doesn't reach. Volunteer status changes, evacuation steps and new alerts now queue on your device and send themselves the moment you're back online. An amber dot marks anything still waiting.

NOW IN 22 LANGUAGES, THROUGHOUT
Screens that used to fall back to English — Assignments, the SOS panel, donations and more — are fully translated.

EVACUATION TASKS SIT WITH YOUR OTHER WORK
An evacuation task is an assignment, so it now appears on the Assignments page next to your routes, transports and Rescue Command work, with a badge showing how many you have.

CLEARER FORMS AND BUTTONS
Every "Next" looks the same everywhere now: outlined and grey while something required is still missing, solid orange once the report is ready. Species and a description are required, so responders receive something they can act on. Delete confirmations are red, so they can never be mistaken for Save.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• Reporting an injured animal you have found is part of Found Animal, so it reaches both the possible owner and medically trained volunteers
• Microchip lookup moved into the describe box — type or paste a chip number
• Backing out of the map picker used to leave Next doing nothing at all; it now tells you a location is needed
• Signing out from Settings closes Settings
• Buttons and labels meet accessibility contrast standards in both light and dark mode

### 1.0.8 — 2026-07-30

This is a big update for iPhone — it brings you everything from the last three releases.

EVACUATIONS ARE CLEARER UNDER PRESSURE
The evacuation dashboard has been rebuilt around the moment you actually use it. It now
says EVACUATE NOW — on screen, in your alerts, and in push notifications — so there is
never any doubt what is being asked. One calm status header replaces the competing
banners, All Clear stays within reach instead of scrolling away, and the actions that
reach everyone at once sit with your roster where you expect them. Volunteer progress
still reads Evacuating once each person confirms they are moving, so you can see your
team's real state at a glance.

Teams can now register for a whole evacuation plan, and task counts match what the
dashboard shows.

ALERTS THAT REACH FURTHER
Sharing a lost or at-risk animal now carries a full description — including colour —
uses the animal's name, and reaches a wider audience. Every detail is labelled, the
shared page reads as a proper card, and when an animal is found the post is retracted
automatically. You also get your own link to the alert you created.

HELP NEARBY
Nearby help now shows rescue organisations that might be able to take an animal,
registered ones first, with the phone one tap away — and always a 24-hour vet.

LOST AND FOUND, GUIDED
New guided help for wildlife and injured animals points you to the right kind of alert,
and lost and found reports are now matched against each other.

ORGANISATIONS
Shelters and rescues can import an animal roster from a CSV no matter what the columns
are called, review what was read before anything is added, fix any row that needs
attention, and undo an import. Organisation profiles pick up logos and details from
your website automatically.

EVENTS
Events can now be online as well as in person, with an audience you choose, and can
repeat on a schedule.

QUIETER AND MORE RELIABLE
You stay signed in for up to a year. Notifications arrive in the app as well as on your
lock screen. Location accuracy is improved, and crash reporting is more accurate.
Confirmation messages now behave properly on iOS.

Every language in the app has been fully translated, and the app tells you plainly when
a newer version is available.

Plus dozens of smaller fixes across My Alerts, animal rosters, organisation logos and
evacuation plans.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-17

Rescue farther and coordinate better in version 1.0.4:

• Online & wider-reach events — host virtual events or target volunteers across specific states, countries, or the whole world, not just your local area.
• Repeating events — schedule an event to recur every few weeks until an end date, and volunteers see each occurrence.
• RSVP notifications — event organizers are now notified the moment someone RSVPs.
• Rescue Command upgrades — evacuation pickup locations now appear on the command map, transport assignments can carry per-stop notes (like "pick up 3 horses"), and responder availability and vehicle type are clearer at a glance.
• Route assignments in your notifications — receive transport routes as in-app notifications and jump straight to turn-by-turn navigation.
• Organization profiles — set your area of operations and control how your address is shown.
• Smoother sign-in — stay signed in longer, with an easier email and phone verification flow.
• Performance improvements and bug fixes.

Thank you for helping rescue animals in need.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-07-07

This update restores reliable sign-in and messaging, and brings new tools for coordinating rescues.

• Fixed a connection problem that could prevent signing in, signing out, or opening chat.
• Organization Rescue Command: see your affiliated volunteers on a live map, spot who's on the road by vehicle, and call or message them in one tap.
• Emergency evacuation for animal spaces: broadcast open capacity to shelters and fosters — first to accept wins.
• Events: RSVP, reminders, and a linked group chat.
• A quick guided tour for first-time users.
• More dependable on weak or disaster-strained networks.
• Accessibility and privacy improvements, plus assorted fixes.
