## What is ResDiary Plus?

ResDiary’s restaurant booking system is responsible for placing millions of covers into thousands of restaurants every month. This table management app is designed to give hospitality staff control over in-service operations in their venue. It allows restaurants to make and receive reservations, allocate tables, update meal statuses and view expected arrivals, among many other restaurant management features.

### 2/5 — Ditch the stupid Ai pop

Great when it works and doesn’t randomly crash or lock you out. The new Ai which pops is just stupid, annoying and not needed. Just because you can add Ai doesn’t mean you should. Starting to become not worth the money.

Two of us use this on our iPhones for our venue but it keep crashing. Very frustrating. It also hijacks my amplifier through which I’m streaming music which is very annoying. For the price I pay per month I expect better.

Switching up and down dates in the diary is now a multi button press instead of the previous single button up and down through the dates. Also, switching between different venues is more convoluted than the previous version. Booking entries made more easy though. Overall less user friendly.

The ResDiary app is a simplified version of the website. 

When using the iPadOS version the app works great. You can view the floor plan, create bookings, add booking comments, request payments, print a Chit Ticket - compatible LAN printer required - and more.

However, the iOS version of the app is getting better with the addition of close outs, status updates and grid view but is still missing some important features such as the ability to request a payment or view the floor plan. 

Ideally, it would be nice if both versions had all the same features. One thing that none of the ResDiary platforms currently have, as of April 2025, is a month or weekly calendar view which would be a useful feature to help with planning.

Finally a app for this system!
Easy to make new bookings, to reassign tbls which was a struggled to do from my phone on the website, and better to edit comments and stuff.
However I can’t see the dairy, and this will make a bit harder to have an ideia how the floor is when we are away, just the booking list is not really helpful although I liked the overview to show the numbers straight away.
But please add the dairy somewhere. It is indispensable.
If is it in somewhere that I’m not seem, please let me know.

It’s great to finally have a an option on IPhone but it will be better if we could have access to close outs by time (and not just closed the entire service) to allow control flow in the bookings. And also having access to the payment option which is really important!

I have been requesting a lots of times for better performance, better updates and nothing. 
Keeps crashing and bringing back old bookings on the same day, double bookings as well. It’s annoying to work with it.

- The waitlist no longer gets stuck with no options during the changeover between services (for example between the end of dinner bookings and the start of late night). Staff can now always add a walk-in with an estimated wait time.

 - Late-night services running past midnight now show their times correctly — previously any time after midnight was missing from the list.

 - Fixed the Table Plan time strip so times and covers are easy to read in Light Mode.

Light Mode fixes: the table list when editing a booking, and the header and footer of the customer details screen, no longer stay dark.

     If a restaurant can't be opened you'll now see a message and stay on your current one.
   *Fixed an issue where some booking times inside a close-out still appeared as available.
