The controls are clunky, the puzzles are OK, but it looks out dated. Why can’t AI re-code all PC games automatically for the M1 Mac ? They all just show a black screen. Please don’t think I’m a complainer. This is not a review of the game. It’s excellent. The performance runs fine. The gameplay mostly runs smooth but sometimes there is a lag from the blutooth when connected to an xbox or PS5 controller. This can be resolved by plugging in a cable to the Mac. That said, when it’s plugged in the vibration turns off if that matters to you. The one star is because the game requires you to be connected to the iCloud Drive every time you boot up the game. This is a single player game. There is no reason why Capcom can’t let me use my save files on device and offline. Some might think that’s not a reason to not give 5 stars. Some might say that’s unreasonable since it’s a quality game. Why not 2 stars or 3? I understand that perspective but I disagree with it. That said, I will update my review to 5 stars if an update changes to where I can have the iCloud off. iCloud isn’t required for Resident Evil 2 on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox series X/S, steam, and I’m pretty sure they’re going to release the game on switch 2 without the requirement.
