### 3/5 — Thumbs down

*2026-10-27, version 3.0.5*

I needed to switch from the original Resideo app to Resideo Connect. It looks like you can no longer see your schedule or edit your schedule in the app. Please bring that back.

### 3/5 — It was great, now not. BUT they do care enough to respond

*2026-10-27, version 3.0.5*

I am leaving my original post/review up because I had to still spend too much time getting this resolved. But I finally did get the app to work after more time spent on live chat.
I’m at a loss as to the creator’s thoughts in that the updated app ruined the functionality of my device. I have been on chat and hoop jumped all their instructions and it has fixed nothing. Such a disappointing experience.

### 3/5 — Need ONE app for all of HW thermostats

*2026-10-27, version 3.0.5*

Why can’t Honeywell make one app for all their thermostats? I had to download this app to run X2S thermostat. I have the TCC app to run my older stats and Honeywell home for my T5 stat on another property. I don’t need bells & whistles just want my stuff in one place. C’mon HW / Resideo you can do better than this.

10-26-26

I thought the new updated app would cover all Honeywell/Resideo thermostats but no, what a disappointment. Still have to use legacy apps for older units.

### 2/5 — Yuck!!

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

Hate it, hated Resideo from the start!! The original Lyric/Honewell app was the best!!!!!!

### 4/5 — Correction, v3 works well

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

I had issues after upgrading, uninstalling the app didn’t help. But logging out and back in fixed it.

### 2/5 — CFK

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

This new version of the app has taken a large step backwards. It is harder to read. The previous version had good sized numbers, that allowed you to see the indoor temperature and thermostat temperature setting at a glance. Now they have not only reduced the size of the indoor temperature and moved it to a more obscure place on the screen but put it in gray numerals that are hard to see, especially if you wake up at 3:00 AM and try to read it through bleary eyes. The thermostat setting is also displayed with smaller numbers. And why give acuweather prominence on the screen; I’ve never seen it get the temperature right.

### 3/5 — Overall good but…

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

I have Honeywell smart thermostats in 2 separate locations and they originally gave temperature plus humidity information. Shortly before it was announced that the First Alert app would switch to Resideo the humidity information disappeared with no explanation. Now the Resideo app is operational but still no humidity information. I feel that users should have some explanation. Having humidity information is important to me and I feel I am missing some data that aided my choice of the Honeywell product.

### 1/5 — Account Transition

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

The transition from First Alert was not easy. This took a lot of time. Then suddenly the password worked again. Like magic. No, I didn’t type it wrong. Tried four times to reset password and got a no account response four times.

### 1/5 — Borderline worthless

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

If this app was being released as is in 2010, it would be amazing. Unfortunately 16 years have passed from that year and today, this App has nothing more than kindergarten basic functionality. So many features missing it’s unreal. I will never buy another smart thermostat that uses this App.

### 1/5 — Changes

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

Changes are not always good just because marketing thinks a change needs to be made.

### 1/5 — This app sucks..not sorry!

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

Nothing works ever since the logo was changed. Deleted and redownloaded…still NOTHING! So frustrating!

### 1/5 — Won’t pair with USAA Insurance

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

Some “clever” app designer decided it would look best if addresses get abbreviated instead of displaying the full correct names. And it can’t be overridden. To pair the app with USAA Insurance and get a discount, the address on the app has to EXACTLY match the address on the property insurance. Guess what, idiotic/arbitrary address abbreviations don’t match. I’m returning the detectors. They may very well work but I’ll never know because of the piece of garbage app.

### 1/5 — Thermostats

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

Old app was a much better app. Schedule was easier to see and find. App is clunky and poorly designed. Once again a company doesn’t care what the customer wants. They just want to collect more user information about you on this new app. Should be allowed to keep and use original Resideo app.

### 3/5 — App color

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

Gosh, why did you have to change the app color!
The red app color was excellent, easy to spot amongst all the other colorful apps!

### 2/5 — They made this app worse, not better

*2026-10-24, version 3.0.1*

Opening the original Resideo app showed me what the inside temp was and what my thermostat was set to. It also showed if the room was heating or cooling at the moment. The First Alert did the same but changed the appearance. This latest iteration requires me to go to a different screen to see whether or not my house is cooling or heating. To me, that’s a step backwards

### 1/5 — Junk app

*2026-10-24, version 3.0.1*

Junk app.

The previous versions lost my profile and my single (and prob last) First Alert “smart” smoke detector.

This version won’t even let start from scratch. “Unable to save…”

Complete trash.

### 1/5 — Terrible update

*2026-10-24, version 3.0.1*

There is no outside temp display like there was on the Home app. I dislike the generic picture of some scene. I’d rather see the entire Home Screen like before. The old app was so much better than this one. Dislike the app icon. I think you have a lot of work to do to fix this.

### 2/5 — Humidity disappeared

*2026-10-24, version 3.0.1*

I love that I can adjust the temperature in my house on the app. However, I’m very very frustrated that the humidity setting has disappeared. When I first download the app a few months ago, I could view the humidity in my house through the app. However, after a couple months, the humidity mysteriously disappeared and now I can only view and control the temperature in my house. In searching on the Internet for a solution, I have seen that this is an issue that multiple people are having, not just me. It has not been resolved and I’m very disappointed. Please put the option to view the humidity back on the app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very Poor

*2026-10-28, version 3.0.5*

Avoid. Been using this for a year and the new update resulted in no way (that I can find) to update the schedule. How can this miss on the basics.

### 1/5 — They won’t leave it alone

*2026-10-27, version 3.0.5*

They keep making changes, for absolutely no reason, zero improvement and just make it a pain to use. And now, since their great new update, my thermostat shows a current temperature, and the app shows a different current temperature. Really made this thermostat worthless at this point. Everything was just fine until they decided they needed to change the name, and how everything worked. If I could give it zero stars I would.

### 1/5 — Humidity

*2026-10-27, version 3.0.5*

This app keeps notifying me about high humidity and there is no way to turn it off! We do not have a humidity setting.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-10-27, version 3.0.5*

The change from First Alert to this app completely deleted our ability to operate our thermostat. It won’t even allow us to set our address. Useless

### 1/5 — Breaks connection

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

Second time I went through app update with the company. It breaks the connection and makes app unusable. Long unhelpful chats each time. Expensive service visit each time found that problem was on companies server.

### 1/5 — Location Services

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

My “smart” thermostat is now a dumb thermostat. I can’t see why the connect app needs my location, but I will not be sharing my location. Unless it’s possible to use without my location data, I will be switching thermostats.

### 1/5 — Devices didn’t transfer over

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

Devices didn’t transfer over to the new app. What now?

### 1/5 — Apple Watch Ultra 4

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

App does NOT have a APPLE WATCH APP. I REALLY hope the come out with one soon in an UPDATE

### 1/5 — Useless app 😤

*2026-10-26, version 3.0.1*

The app is not allowing me to sync my device with my phone it keeps saying offline, when clearly it’s not hopefully you hit can fix this because at this point this app is useless

### 1/5 — App is broke

*2026-10-25, version 3.0.1*

App doesn’t support my SC5 smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarm

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Version 3.0.1 update

*2026-10-28, version 3.0.5*

The First Alert update to Resideo Connect was smooth as silk. I only have a Honeywell Elite Pro S1200 thermostat and it looks the same after the update. Took about 60 seconds to update. The only change I see is the APP icon.

### 5/5 — Feature Request

*2026-10-24, version 3.0.1*

Overall, I’m pleased with the app name change and more updated look and feel as it better reflects the portfolio of products it supports. I’d like to see the ability to change the order/location of multiple thermostats on the dashboard.

### 5/5 — Jack

*2026-10-22, version 3.0.1*

Best

### 5/5 — Plyler

*2026-10-22, version 3.0.1*

### 5/5 — Great app! Everything in One Place.

*2026-10-19*

The Resideo Connect app works great. I love that everything is all in one app. I can control/view my ElitePRO S1200 thermostat and L1 leak detectors from anywhere. I am able to see the temperature in various rooms of my house and garage using the Redlink 3.0 room sensors. The app also alerts me for things like a leak detected, high humidity, and filter changes. I can also view who is at my door in the app and right on my thermostat with the video doorbell compatibility! Highly recommend!
