What kind of design choice is this?! I’m synchronizing tens of thousands of photos from a few select photo albums on my phone. Why can’t I select the album? Or why can’t I drag and select ranges of pictures? Instead I have to pick each photo individually and that takes FOREVER! I finally gave up after selecting 2,000 photos and decided to try a different app that does allow me to sync an album. I can’t see using this app without the ability to add albums. Hoping this will be fixed in the future because I want to use this app, it has promising features, but right now it’s too slow and too inefficient to use with tens of thousands of files. Please add ability to select a photo album and include updating changed pictures that have been added or removed from the selected album. I’m sure that I’m not the only person who has faced this issue. ### 3/5 — Something broke *2026-05-16, version 3.1.2* I used to have no problems with the app, but now the connection between my Linux laptop and iPhone keeps dropping after just a second. It also allows me to upload or download a file or two without issue. However, there are a number of problems. I think the most important one is the Files app integration just seems plain broken. I can see a few of my folders, but most are missing along with all my files. Second, the capabilities and user interface of the app feel incomplete. Finally, I think the terminology should be cleaned up to make things more clear. But when I add up the storage of all my folders, the total is only 12.5 GB. The cleanup button doesn’t fix this. There used to be a way to fixes this by going to “contact support” and entering some cryptic entry SNC.DBG.STORAGE instead of the email address. But the current version removed this and now there’s no way to fix the storage problem without uninstalling, reinstalling, and re-syncing all the files. Giant pain in the rear. Try it. Look at the local file size, then go to your settings and compare. Chances are, the sizes will be completely different and every time you delete the camera backup it will give you different amounts of files. Not only this, but the app will RANDOMLY just stop transferring files and show “peers: 1” even though it hasn’t finished. Check the local file size on both apps or on your computer or whatever. Anyways, a huge pain, especially considering this is basically the only option I’ve found that will let you sync it to any device all for free. Other complaints include that it doesn’t continue in the background, you have to email your camera backup instead of just scanning the QR code, and that it’s options are just lacking and information presented to the user are not clear. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — iCloud Alternative *2026-07-18, version 3.1.2* Once you get the hang of Resilio it is easy to use.
