In the past six months I have had to delete and reboot the app weekly. It locks on Restaurant Mode, which I do not use. Only way to resolve is delete and reload. ### 3/5 — Update broken? Fixed *2025-04-15, version 4.35.0* Initial install of Ver 4.35.0 created crazy app where every program is streaming. I fixed this by deleting and reinstalling app. Has not happened again. ### 2/5 — New features wrecked the app *2025-03-02, version 4.35.0* This app used to be fine, but now it’s a pain. With the newest version of this app, once the iPhone makes a connection to the hearing aids, e.g., to play an audio file, it never relinquishes the connection after the audio app has quit. The hearing aids never go back to their default configuration. I have to turn off bluetooth and turn it back on to restore the default operation. ### 3/5 — iPhone 16 *2025-02-17, version 4.33.1* Changing from 1 star to 3 since this app is all over frosting as it is but I got it connected to my iPhone 16 finally. Prior to this phone you had to connect to the app then the phone. Now you connect via phone settings/accessibility FIRST then go into the app to finish. Took waiting on hold with resound app support for 25 minutes to trouble shoot that. Truly should have tried it on my own but I’ve always know that won’t work so I didn’t. Silly me. Save yourself some time and frustration. Haven’t had any problems connecting my hearing aids the last 8 and a half years I’ve had this app and hearing aids. Just upgraded my phone to a 16 pro and the app just keeps giving me a loop of finding connecting go to settings then come back and restart all over again. Sometimes it even says I see you’ve connected mifi hearing aids before do you want to use those? When I click continue it just starts the whole process over. Can’t make any phone calls without being able to connect via Bluetooth which is a big problem ### 2/5 — App does not work with only 1 aid *2025-02-14, version 4.33.1* This app and Smart 3D are quite poor. I have a cochlear implant for the one ear and a ReSound aid for the other. The app tries to connect them which can't be done. Therefore, I can only use the app in Demo mode, which is more limited. ### 2/5 — Problems with app programs disappearing *2025-02-11, version 4.33.1* My All Around program often disappears from the app and will only show the Restaurant program. I have to delete the app from my phone and reinstall to get the All Around program to come up again. ### 3/5 — iPhone 16 *2025-01-30, version 4.33.1* I never had connectivity issues with my old iPhone 7. However, once I upgraded, I have to be within a foot or 2 for the hearing aids to initially connect to my phone l via Bluetooth, which I need to do first thing in order to lower the volume to 7 and turn on the “noise filter”. I used to disconnect my Bluetooth after that, but no longer do as I know I’ll have issues getting them reconnected if I have to change a battery or adjust the volume. I did learn how to turn off playback in Accessibility, so some Facebook ad doesn’t go through my hearing aids and then they reset to full volume and I’d have to change it back, that originally was why I’d turn off Bluetooth. ### 3/5 — Absturz *2024-10-29* Seit dem letzten Update ist es leider so, dass ich jedesmal wenn ich zwischen zum TV Programm umschalten möchte die App jedesmal abstürzt! Ich muss sie dann immer erst schließen und neu starten, aber selbst da entstehen immer wieder Probleme! Bitte guckt das und behebt das Problem! Спасибо. ### 2/5 — Terrible *2024-08-20, version 4.31.1* This is a bitter/sweet review. I have been wear heart aids for twelve years. The sound is wonderful and the devices are comforting. However, the App to operate them is TERRIBLE! I can’t get through a day without having to reconnecting the App, restarting the hearing aids, getting incorrect info about the hearing aids from the App, loosing sound on one side or another, etc. My audiologist has agreed to replace them. One problem I have not yet figured out is that when the phone is doing other things like receiving a message, the hearing aids temporarily go dead and then come back. This phenomenon seems to occur with other phone functions too. Is there a way to isolate the app from other things going on with the phone? ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work very well *2024-05-25, version 4.31.1* This software constantly freezes and it lowers the volume and changes programs by itself. I have to turn my phone of to get it to recognize my hearing aids. Going for new hearing aids, will insist on some that do not use this software. This app is flat out garbage. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU DON’T MIND BEING CONSTANTLY AGGRAVATED. TOOK HEARING AIDS OUT, WILL NOT USE UBTIL I GET NEW ONES THAT DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. My H/A's will not work with this app. I have to delete app ever morning because the app won't connect to both, only the left one. App says ; "are they turned on?" "are they charged?" Vielen Dank für Ihren Beitrag! ### 2/5 — Another user with BT capabilities *2023-10-02, version 4.25.0* Since my husband has Bluetooth (BT) capabilities with his CI recently, I have been having trouble reconnecting to my BT because the app doesn’t recognize my hearing aid. Or is it the IOS that has been updated and the app is not up to date to work with higher IOS? It requires several retries to get my aid reconnected. It’s very frustrating as this is a waste of my time and wearing down my aid doing the opening/closing of the battery compartment to get it connected. It changes programs for no apparent reason and regularly freezes up. Resound’s solution is to delete and reinstall. I’ve done that multiple times. After my last review they emailed me asking to help. I replied and they never followed up. Par for the course with these clowns. The company clearly doesn’t care. My next hearing aids will definitely not be Resound! ### 1/5 — Linx2 on updated Smart app. *2024-11-07, version 4.33.1* Every time you’ve updated your app I lose more and more functionality! Speech focus which was extremely useful… Gone! The new app is supposed to give control of lows, mids, and highs. It only controls lows and highs. It has a mind of its own and says I am in one program when I am actually in another program. And it routinely freezes. So I have to close the app and start it up again to unfreeze it. Called Resound tech support. Their answer is to delete the app and download it again. That works for a while. No other app on my phone has to repeatedly be deleted like this app. It would be better if they would just fix the app. But they clearly don’t care. If they did, there wouldn’t be so many terrible reviews. Had to change to 5 stars on the Developers communication and action. Reviewed many apps and NEVER had such positive experiences. Even though I had solved my issues they provided advice in the event I had problems with future updates. Can’t say enough about their concerns about my experience. Updated review. After “Forgetting this device“ in setting and a hard reboot of my iPhone I paired them again and the app finally recognized my hearing aids. The features seem to work just like the previous version. I’ve been using this app for 7 years and NEVER had a problem. Now either can’t find or finds one. I finally got both recognized and it wanted me to go to settings to pair them. They ALREADY paired but the app would continue to tell me go to settings. Won’t connect like I said useless.
