## What is Ressl Auth?

Ressl Auth is a privacy-first authenticator for your two-factor (2FA) codes — built around zero-knowledge, end-to-end encryption. Your TOTP secrets are encrypted on your device with a key only you hold, so they stay private even from the server that syncs them.

WHY RESSL AUTH
• Zero-knowledge by design — your vault is encrypted on-device with AES-256; the server stores only ciphertext and can never read your codes.
• Strong key derivation — your passphrase is stretched with Argon2id before it ever protects your data.
• You stay in control — connect to the Ressl Auth service or host the open backend yourself.
