No ads. No logins. No add-ons. Where is the closest rest stop? Where is the next one in your direction? Or one with wifi or a RV dump? The only app that shows you directional access right on the map! What's in this Rest Stops Plus app: Thousands of Welcome centers, turn outs, service plazas, scenic vistas and rest areas in the USA and Canada broken down by heading. A detail view lists each rest stops amenities like restrooms, picnic tables, vending machines, pet-friendly, RV dump, handicap accessible, security and even wi-fi. You can now filter the map to see only the amenities you want. You’ve had it happen; you’re on a route that you don't know like the back of your hand yet. You were unfamiliar with that part of the road, so you get out your heavy books and maps to plan your next stop or you can fiddle with your GPS unit which is loaded with stuff you don't want. But the economy is causing states to close and re-open rest areas all the time. This app tries to stay current with news and user reports but there will be mistakes. You can submit corrections from each point. Rest Stops Plus has a unique filtering system. Only heading northbound and don't want to see southbound rest stops that you can't use? Only want ones with a RV Dump or Wifi? You can filter Rest Areas and Turnouts by the direction you are heading or select amenities! The ladies restroom is always clean and the outside area as well! It would help to be able to type in the RT # (like 75N) and have it show the stops, but you have to manually expand the screen. Also, the short view doesn’t say northbound or southbound - you have to open the location and scroll all the way down to the bottom. ### 3/5 — It helps, but on a limited scale *2022-07-31* I recently went on a long road trip, and was looking to avoid sleeping in hotels. I wanted an app that would show me where all of the rest areas were, so that I could plan out my sleep stops in advance. This app seemed to be rated the highest amongst competing apps, so I went for it. While it is helpful to a degree, it doesn’t come even close to listing ALL rest areas. It lists only those on major 4 lane US interstates. Rest areas on 2 lane state highways are ignored. So, for me, that largely defeated the purpose of using the app as I wasn’t looking to drive unnecessarily far to find a place to sleep. But, had I relied exclusively on this app, that’s exactly what would have happened. There was more than one instance where the nearest rest area shown in my vicinity was 50+ minutes of driving.
