Maybe make it eaiser to play on Mac and easier to connect your saved game. Also itd be easier to pass levels on Mac if we had a bit more time. Im on level 8 and struggling after buying all the plates and eyres. I shouldnt have to update THAT much beofre passing level 10. Its still fun though! ### 5/5 — New "Update" is Terrible *2023-07-08* After playing for nearly 400 levels, I will be forced to give up. Where the extra games for level upgrades used to yield 3 bonus extras, now there is only one. So far, I've only been offered a coin - no speed or "no burned food" upgrades have been available. It also costs 50 hearts to buy an extra round, instead of 10. I haven't seen a level in ages that can be beaten without max upgrades, either. Now I'm forced to habitually buy upgrades to finish levels or quit. It's been a good run, but it's over unless I can finish a level in a couple days. ### 5/5 — tai thu ve choi xem ntn *2023-07-07* game choi giai tri tam on ### 5/5 — I started playing *2023-07-02* Also, as someone who is not Japanese and has never lived in Japan, getting a little insight into Showa era cuisine & culture was very enlightening. It was interesting to see the transitioning between “old” and “modern”, and how staying connected to tradition can be a source of healing. I feel like I’m able to appreciate a little bit more of the Japanese identity because of this. Even though I’ve finished the story, I do plan to keep playing the game. Now that the sadness from some of their stories is passing, I know that I will be able to spend some time making virtual food and feeling comforted by the familiarity of it. I want to thank everyone on the development team for making this game. ### 5/5 — Wonderful storytelling *2023-07-02* I played this game for a few weeks, constantly making dishes and upgrading my diner for the customers. Along the way, I grew very fond of the characters who had stories. The lady with the red dress who wished to become a better mother, the gangster dude who left, the schoolgirl who wished to grow up into a nice lady. Viewing all of their tanabata wishes was truly something enjoyable. All the characters were interesting to read. At first, I thought the doctor character was just another person who enjoyed eating, but at the end, I read the reason why and it surprised me a fair amount. Most of all, I enjoyed the storyline between the grandma and her husband. It was like any other elderly couple I’ve seen; always bickering. However, for some reason, seeing that they have always loved and cared for each other made me tear up, actually. The simple art style and gameplay was an easy way to relax. I also enjoyed the music paired with the game, it was calm and relaxing. I’m excited to play the next one! ### 5/5 — hot game the sumer :D *2023-07-02* You have to either pay money or watch ads (which are limited) it really creates a game that is stacked against you. I liked this game a lot until I progressed to around Hamalot. It’s forcing these upgrades earlier and earlier the farther you get. I get it it’s Nickelodeon but come on really? If a kid was playing this game there’s no doubt whatsoever they’d click the spend gems button by accident, like I have as an adult, it ruins it. Not to mention the numerous pop ups begging to buy deals etc. not worth it when they throw other pop ups meant to make you accidentally spend gems. This is really disappointing Nickelodeon. I did expect more from you guys. So money hungry smh. ### 5/5 — I really want to love this game restaurant battle *2023-07-02* The game itself is very fun but it’s really hard for me to enjoy. I’m actually surprised it has such a high rating due to how glitchy the game is and how they’ve totally neglected to fix this with every upgrade. Every time the game goes to the load screen it crashes. My iPad is up to date, I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it. I’ve contacted customer service and they gave me a bunch of free gems but the problem continues. One update wiped out all my fame points for sandys BBQ. Not the items I’ve purchased and upgrades just the pearls so it looks unfinished. Also recently I finished the upgrades for both the salty spittoon and the last chance coffee and yet even though all upgrades and decor have been purchased I don’t have enough fame points to open to last chest. And the pancake challenge for the food truck is rigged. You literally don’t provide enough customers for one level. I played through it using every upgrade and each time I was short 1 customer. Also the fact that you have to pay both gems and coins for items is useless and greedy. Pick one or the other and make the upgrades cheaper. I have paid some money in this game for gems, like the piggy bank once in a while, but I won’t be doing that again. It’s just a waste and you obviously don’t care about your players. Do better. Fix this. ### 5/5 — Love the game *2023-07-02* I contacted support about this already, and they told me they’d give me support and such to get a head start upon starting a whole new game. The reason for that is somewhere along the way in playing the game, as I reached Sandy’s Treedome, I somehow gained access to goo lagoon’s first first restaurant as the Fry Cook Games event was taking place there, long before I completed Sandy’s treedome, and from there on, the storyline and its cutscenes weren't working right, up until I reached Ham-A-Lot…where the cutscenes at both there and the juice bar were working for awhile until I played the early levels of Salty Spittoon..now, I can no longer progress the story it seems as it thinks I’ve completed Ham-A-Lot..but won’t realize I’m at the Salty Spittoon.. Granted, I love the game and it’s mechanics, the micro transactions and use of both gems and coins to buy stuff is a bit tough to swallow in dealing with…but I love its use of prioritizing time and task management, keeps you on your toes, I just wish the developers could fix these types of bugs so that the game could be much more enjoyable, hence the four stars, but tiltingpoint, I don’t know what has to be done, but please, find a way to fix this glitch, I’m seriously not sure if I want to start this process all over again, and potentially risk another glitched out storyline. Thank you, and please consider trying to reboot the servers of the game or something. ### 5/5 — love the game but pay to win :/ *2023-07-02* i have been playing this game for almost two years and throughout this time I occasionally stop and come back to being addicted. i love cooking simulator games like this one. it’s a fun game. hardly any bugs at all that ive encountered. i only had an issue which was starting up the game, but later resolved it by re installing the app. it is a bit hard to navigate through the game with all the icons and different things to click on. however, once you become familiarized with all those buttons, it does become much easier. i just find it unfair on how hard it is to obtain diamonds in the game & without these diamonds i can’t upgrade appliances which leads to me not being able to pass certain levels. so yes it is pay to win. either lower the amount of diamonds it takes to upgrade an appliance or remove them in general. many other players also find it very annoying to deal with. it’s a reason why i stop playing sometimes because i get stuck having no diamonds and no way of getting them without buying a bundle of diamonds for like 5 dollars which i will not be paying for. well it’s nice to play when you got some free time. i hope the developers or whoever is in charge maybe make getting diamonds easier :) anyways if you’re looking to download this game, you should. i personally think it’s better than cooking fever and maybe right below in rank of cooking dash. ### 5/5 — NEVER change the new Food game! *2023-07-02* After taking a long hiatus from playing, the food truck game being changed has brought me back everyday. Before, it was almost impossible to win the food truck event. At first, I used to get excited when it rolled around to a restaurant I actually had played before, but even the restaurants I was really good at were impossible to win all the rounds in the food truck game unless I used power ups. I stopped even bothering to try with the restaurants I had never played. It was impossible to learn restaurants you had never played before and also win. It's so much better now, I hope you never change it back. It's nice to have a new challenge everyday that you can actually win. It also gives you some diamonds. This is one of the few games I've actually spent real money on, for diamonds, and one of the reasons I stopped playing was asking myself, if I can earn barely any diamonds in game, what's the point? I will still buy diamonds every once in a while, but it's nice to have ways to earn them in-game too. Otherwise it starts to feel like a scam. One way the game can improve is if you allow a way to opt out of the Fry Cook Games for a cycle. Sometimes I want to play casually and don't want to worry about my rank. You literally can't do that as of right now half the time because you only get around a day or so in between games. ### 5/5 — Warning! *2023-06-26* Play at your own risk. It is a fun game to an extent. If you pay to play it would be more fun. But be prepared to pay and pay and pay. They designed this game that way is my opinion. It’s odd how I’m trying to complete various levels as they get harder and I just miss by 1 or 2 items to complete that level. And it happens over and over and there are times where none of the boosts will help you but the diamonds will, if you buy enough of them. Otherwise you just keep playing the same thing over and over and can’t move forward. Don’t know about you but that’s boring and very aggravating that you can’t continue unless you pay to play. So I’ve sent customer support my experience and my dislike of a number of things. I’ve written a review before but felt I need to do it again. Notice that they don’t put their reviews in chronological order, wonder why that is? Take a look through the reviews and you’ll see why. I’ve deleted the game. There are similar games that offer more opportunities to win the things you need to play without paying for them, I choose those games instead, and the customer support has been very nice and helpful, unlike this one. Best of luck! ### 5/5 — Could be great *2023-06-26* This game has so much promise, but unfortunately it is required that you pay a lot of money to enjoy it. I get that in-app purchases are how these games make money, but most free to play games are not this impossible. I’ve even noticed the game will adjust to purposely sabotage you. Example: you need to make a certain amount of money for the round - all customers order the cheapest item. Another example: you need to serve a certain number of customers - the game doesn’t give you enough to pass even though you serve every customer right away. And yes, this is even with having max upgrades. The game requires not only max upgrades, but MULTIPLE boosts to have any hope of passing levels. It’s frustrating because the gameplay and graphics are so good, but I’m not sinking hundreds of dollars into a game only for the frustration to continue. If this game was $50 flat and you didn’t need to purchase any additional boosts, I would buy it in a heartbeat, but as it stands now, it’s not worth the investment. Really hope the game developers lower the difficulty or give more complimentary bonuses, until then, the game isn’t worth it. ### 5/5 — The Downfall for me *2023-06-26* I enjoyed this game at first and thought it was pretty great to be honest. I mean cooking games have always been some of my FAVORITE games so it’s no surprise that I enjoyed the game. But that was the beginning, After a while of going back and playing old stages and getting three-stars on practically all of them I realized that even if I have ALL the upgrades that will benefit me (and not the ingredients that will give me extra money to be exact) I still couldn’t pass the levels because I have to use BOOSTS, I don’t usually complain about games or even write reviews if I’m being honest but in the long run, I can’t see myself ever playing this game again. So I suggest you make it where you don’t have to shove cash into a mobile game (That barely even gets played) and make it so you can maintain a steady player base rather than let your game die out like the rest of the mobile games on the App Store. So I’m just saying this because many mobile games either force you to spend countless amounts of money (to still lose) or bombard you with so many ads that you’ll want to delete the game. So as my final response, fix the game or no one will want to play (unless if they shove money into the game like a moron) so please fix this game for the others who want to play and don’t want to spend money, because I’ll never download this game again. ### 5/5 — What happened to watching ads for extra? *2023-06-26* I love this game! I love fast multitasking games like this! I’ve noticed a lot of complaints that some levels you HAVE to use the boosts but so far I’m on the 4th location (so there’s 4 buildings per location) and I’ve only had to do that with a couple levels all together. Most of the time there’s a technique or upgrade that gets the job done! They had it set up so you could watch ads to double your coins, or watch ads to get a bonus and that’s suddenly gone. I don’t know why. Which makes it hard because when you go to a new location they change the currency so you lost any you had before and they only start you out with 100 coins of the new currency when you switch locations. So suddenly you don’t have anything to do anything and now I have no options to watch ads to help. WHY!?! I’m still playing the game but it’s become SO hard and NEARLY impossible at times because even playing each level only gets me so far! SO FRUSTRATING! ### 5/5 — FUNNEST game ever, but a few things... *2023-06-26* I love this game SO much I play it all the time. But I’m on level 15 and have tried like 20 times and can’t pass. The timing is too low for it it’s only a minute 10 seconds. For improvement, maybe put the timing up to 2 or 3 minutes for certain levels. Thank you! Update: I FINALLY was able to pass level 15 and got OVER the goal I needed for money! I went back to old easy levels I didn’t get 3 stars on, and won! I got more gems, upgraded my LAST two things and got past level 15 just using upgrades! I now realize that all you have to do to win, is complete EVERY upgrade you have! Everyone saying “It’s a money maker” yes, they want money but NO you don’t have to spend so much! Life hack!: go back to the easiest levels you DIDN’T get 3 stars on. WIN those levels and get more gems to upgrade EVERY SINGLE upgrade you have! I still recommend more time though as a new update for higher levels. Update: On some levels, the game doesn’t give you enough costumers to be able to finish it. Then it asks you to buy more customers using gems that I don’t have, because I didn’t have enough gems already to upgrade, and would STILL need more to buy costumers! I also recommend maybe adding more customers on higher levels. Please read my review and maybe even update the game based on what I recommend. Some of the spices are so rare that they’re virtually impossible to get without being VIP, and I shouldn’t have to pay money to play a mindless game. Second, there should be constant car delivery options. Most games like this have a consistent large delivery along with the small delivery (phone). Third, this current update is still the Easter one (IT’S JUNE) and every time that board game comes on it forces you to play, which is super irritating because you’ll be in the middle of something and it’s like NOPE you have to go through this board game tutorial FOR THE 20TH TIME! Also, the board game is dumb, it’s open for like 2-3 days which means 3 free spins? What a joke, I refuse to spend money on an app and I should be able to enjoy many features without having to spend money. I also agree with previous comments made about the township, you shouldn’t have to be a vip to create one, and township assistants should be mandatory in case the leader isn’t available to distribute prizes promptly at the end of a festival. There should be daily quests and ways to earn gems and coins daily without having to buy it. Me I’ve spent over 200$ on this game so I could buy gold spices and other spices, also the board game is a joke. If you land on gems it should be way more than 1,3,5,7. That is simply unfair, and it seems the gold gift is IMPOSSIBLE to land on. If you had daily quests each day for people to earn coins and such; this game would be so much more fun and I would play so much more often. Instead I’m on once a week. How am I supposed to save up 15,000,000 to buy a machine when my daily coins when I come collect only amount to 100,000? This is a problem that should be fixed to make the game better! Still fun in the beginning, but after time goes on and you realize al the coins you have to save; it isn’t so fun anymore. But I won’t uninstall because of all the money I’ve spent! Also. The spices are SO expensive in gems. 41 gems for a gold spice is RIDICULOUS. And the prices need to be brought WAY down. So say I win 7 gems on the board game, I can buy one anise and one rose. The concept is wonderful the cafe is essential but it would be nice if you could trade with anyone within your township and get more diamonds and coins the time and sometimes task for both is unrealistic and unreasonable you have to wait for a certain time until you can get diamonds from the TV which sometimes slows down a level for example if you only need one diamond and then you watch ads and you don’t even get the diamonds you get coins or sometimes you get nothing but a mashed up close up of the tv and can’t zoom out and have to close the app which is just a waste of time. Definitely don’t want the hassle of this nor continuing to be a problem. Making the game a little more larger so you won’t have to zoom in every five seconds would be a plus. The same characters stop through town time after time and sometimes it’s the craziest obscured story or sentence or person place or thing that you ever heard of. MOST OF ALL JUDGEMENT FREE Loo89.(admit) hope to see you soon. ### 5/5 — Not for Free to play, long term players *2023-06-26* The game itself gets kinda boring after a while, with many barriers into levelling up like money, having certain spices for story exp. quests, and little to no incentive to log on every day as the events either need too much dedication to get to the good rewards or finish the event before time runs out, and for the car events, there's no indication for how long they stay. As a lvl. 25 player, I level up maybe every couple of months considering how long it takes to get money, and with the spices contests, it's difficult to know when to log on for those to have the chance of actually making good profit with the hard to get spices. But the reason why I genuinely couldn't rate higher was from the fact that I don't understand why they're adding all these new food and drink items when I'm already barely saving up for the expensive equipment after leveling up. Having to lose idle income and having constant set backs savings-wise due to the equipment I didn't know they were even thinking of adding is just annoying and I havent been able to level up for months after having to buy 8 pieces of equiment I barely touch. I never see the customers ask for the new food/drink too afterwards and It doesn't help that every time I log on and decide to play for a bit, the camera just drags me unwillingly to the bunny game I never play or the new car quest annoyingly and makes me just want to not play for another week just to repeat again. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 2/5 — Thumbs up *2023-05-30, version 1.0* So far so good, son likes it. I like it ### 4/5 — Best app for ND meal planning *2023-06-01, version 1.0* If you have ADHD and struggle with meal planning, or if you just have trouble with meal planning in general, I highly recommend this app. I’ve used other fitness apps mealplanners and whatnot but this is the best one. Features that work well: the search feature can help you narrow down recipes, you can add recipes directly to an online grocery cart that you can then check out (I use Walmart but I think there are other stores as well), and you can adjust the portions depending on how many people you are serving. Downside: check your final orders because sometimes if a little of an ingredient was required for a few recipes you will end up with a pound of fresh ginger and cilantro. Speaking from experience. Requested upgrade: if tasty would offer a weekly meal planning tab in addition to the digital recipe saving option, this would be a perfect app. Then I could just access the recipes I needed for the week instead of trying to remember what I was planning on making for the week. ### 4/5 — Fun at first *2023-05-30, version 1.0* The 1st restaurant is fun and then it gets ridiculous by halfway thru the second one! And I mean I’ve gone a full week several times not opening my door. And when I feel the food has accumulated enough, I will open the door. But go back into the game within the same hour and all or most of the food be gone but not having received the money I should’ve received for the amount of food that is no longer there. I’ve done this a lot of times and this last time (kept door closed 3 days. 25 counters all with thousands or tens of thousands of servings each. There was 2 or 3 that only had a couple hundred. Before I opened the door I added up all the servings on each counter and it came out to be exactly 113, 692 total). I screen recorded me checking each counter with how many servings each had. This was at 2:04pm EST. At 2:47pm EST I went back into the restaurant to see over half my counters empty but roughly only 150k increase in my earnings. I know different foods cost different prices but there’s no way that adds up the way it should. I have the screen recordings for both when I checked before opening the door, including the date and time as well as when I went back to check 43 minutes later also including date and time. Idk if it’s a bug or what but it happens often and I think it needs to be fixed. ### 5/5 — Oddly fun but time consuming *2023-07-20* I have been playing for years and, despite the fact that I hit the max level years ago, I’m still enjoying adding friends, communicating with them and making food. I do find the tasks have been really hard to finish without using money. They are doable—if you play constantly, which I don’t. I play about 5 times a week, which is quite a bit and rarely get to the second appliance. I’d love to be able to click a button and clear all my tables which would be a huge timesaver. I’d also like to be able to finish tasks more often (maybe fewer items to cook?) Or make it easier to get the appliance in the first place. I have a lot of friends but my gifts are often full so it takes days to finish the appliance. I figure I need about 5 to get to the second appliance. Thanks for highlighting the items, too. Maybe you could have tabs for stoves, grills and ovens so it’s a little easier to find them? I do enjoy this game but find myself having to take breaks because it is so time-consuming. This game is very innovative and fun. However, there are some suggestions for this game which i hoped can be further important and enhanced. But after the update, there are Chinese words in the storage area even though english language was chosen. And you can’t see the level of the ingredient which is quite confusing. The customers should be going to the cashiering area too, so the tables can be cleared faster. Also, the calculations of the profit doesn’t reflect accurately when we accept it. But overall, still a nice game to play! ### 5/5 — Broken without free gold *2023-07-08* Was enjoying this game. It is very grindy for those who enjoy that kind of thing unless you spend money on gold. Gold is hard to come by in the game but a lot is need for up grading equipment and food. Up until recently you could get about 11 gold a day doing the 3 daily challenges and watching 8 ads for free gold. For completing the 3 daily challenges you would also get a free spin on “the deal wheel” which offers various prize including more gold. Recently the ads have stopped resetting everyday so I cannot get the 8 free gold the ads provide. Also one of the daily challenges is typically to watch ads for gold so this challenge cannot be completed. So now I’m left with only 2 gold a day and no free spin on deal wheel. Typically items are relatively inexpensive to upgrade early on. However to upgrade to higher levels even spending 10 gold to do so get expensive when you only get 2 gold a day. When I got 11 gold a day it took a long time to save up enough to get items upgraded so you could advance the game. Now it take way to long. I have contacted customer care and they have told me have no control over if ads are available to me. The ads are controlled by a third party. But ads still pop up between games which is normal but ads won’t reset for free gold. And one daily challenge is usually to watch ads so can’t complete that for free spin.
