## What is RestWise?

RestWise Sleep is a self-guided insomnia companion inspired by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Insomnia (ACT-I).

If you struggle with insomnia, racing thoughts, or sleep anxiety, this app helps you stop fighting sleep and start changing your relationship with it.

Instead of trying to force sleep, RestWise Sleep teaches a calm, practical, pressure-free approach to rest and wakefulness — designed for people who are exhausted from turning sleep into another task.

The experience unfolds over 30 days through short lessons, simple reflections, and guided practices you can return to anytime.

What you’ll find inside:
- 30 days of structured lessons: Clear, focused lessons introduce ACT-inspired principles for insomnia and nighttime anxiety. Designed to be read once and reflected on without overwhelm.
- Defusion tool for racing thoughts: A simple in-the-moment tool to help you step back from intrusive thoughts and reduce nighttime mental struggle.
- Guided practices: Repeatable daytime and before-bed practices. These are not sleep stories or relaxation tricks — they focus on acceptance, awareness, and reducing the fight with sleep.
- Micro reflection journal: Short prompts to help you notice patterns around sleep without overanalyzing or trying to control everything.
- Values-based guidance: Reconnect with what matters to you and choose small, meaningful actions — even after a difficult night.
- A pressure-free experience: No sleep tracking. No scores. No streaks. No gamification. This is support — not measurement.

Who this app is for:
- People struggling with insomnia or sleep anxiety
- Those dealing with racing or intrusive thoughts at night
- Anyone tired of rigid sleep rules or performance-based sleep advice
- People looking for a modern, grounded approach without fluff

Important note:
RestWise Sleep is an educational, self-guided program. It is not a substitute for therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment.

### 5/5 — I freaking love it

*2026-02-15*

I’ve dealt with insomnia on and off and usually end up trying whatever sleep app is trending. Most of them are just music or sleep stories. This one felt different.

It focuses more on learning how to stop fighting being awake instead of trying to force sleep. The lessons are short and practical, and the structure makes it easy to stick with. I’ve already noticed I’m less anxious when I wake up in the middle of the night.

The app itself is really clean and simple to use, which I appreciate when I’m tired. If you’re looking for a more thoughtful approach to insomnia, this is worth checking out!!
