## What is Resume Writer LLM?

Please note that the download is free, but a subscription is required to unlock the functionality of this app. Without a subscription, you can browse the app before deciding to subscribe. After subscribing and using the app, you can still see all your information after you cancel the subscription, but you will no longer be able to add new content.

This app will help you manage your job search, with your privacy at the forefront of the design. Working across the desktop and tablet, your data is stored in your iCloud account and locally on your device (not on our servers).
In today's job market, having a resume and cover letter that are tailored specifically to each application is not only critical to pass the Applicant Tracking System automatic screening, but also key to standing out in a sea of resumes.
You begin by entering detailed overviews of your prior positions, certifications, publications, and patents. After that, you enter details and job descriptions for positions that you are interested in applying to. This app will use AI to understand the requirements for each position and write a resume that highlights the portions of your experience that best match those requirements. In addition, you can keep track of the status for each application (when did you apply, have they scheduled interviews, ...). You can also enter the key contacts and communication notes for everyone that you interact with in the application process. The app will help summarize these communications, write thank you notes after interviews, and even help with interview preparation.

While the app is free, you must purchase a subscription to make use of the application management and generative AI functions. We have built this app to use Meta's Llama3 models hosted in Amazon's AWS service, and you can subscribe to this on a monthly or annual basis. 

Privacy is very important to us, and that's why we designed the app to store all data locally on your device and in your iCloud account, so what have we done to ensure that your data is secure when using the cloud? All cloud communications are done over secure web services (https / ssl) but that's not all. Your data is encrypted by our app when being sent back and forth from the cloud, ensuring that if the secure web connection was compromised, your data is still encrypted. There is also nothing included in the data that can be tied to you (unless you have included personal information in your descriptions of your work history), with a few exceptions ... where you are the author of papers or patents, you will likely have included your name in the authors list for those works, and that data is sent to the cloud in order to write the resume; when you ask the AI to write a cover letter, your contact information is sent to the AI, however, there is an option to leave this out (please remember to edit the result to put your name and contact info in the final letter prior to using it); when you are saving communications for key contacts, you may end up using personally identifiable information in those details, and this will also be sent to the cloud. We do not save anything that is sent to or from the cloud on our servers.

This app can also use a local installation of Ollama if you want to ensure that your data never leaves your machine. In this case, the data is not encrypted when sent across your private network; this traffic is controlled by you and we have no access to it; nor can we install anything on your local machines to manage encryption on your local devices. Again, nothing is saved on our servers.
