## What is Resus Room?

Resus Room puts you in charge of the resuscitation room.

The monitor runs across the top, the team is waiting, and the patient in the bed needs you now. Give your orders out loud or with a tap — "Start compressions", "Shock", "Epinephrine 1 milligram" — and the nurse answers, the rhythm changes, and the clock keeps running.

Free to download. Fifteen cases are free. The Core Pack unlocks five more, on all your devices. New case packs will be offered separately.

TWENTY EMERGENCIES, BUILT BY AN EMERGENCY PHYSICIAN
Free:
• Down on the casino floor — start here: CPR and the AED
• Quiet at the pool — a child pulled from the water
• Five first-aid cases: choking, an infant choking, anaphylaxis, an overdose and a bleeding cyclist
• A witnessed collapse at the gym
• Pulseless after a bedside procedure
• Found unresponsive behind a bus shelter
• Repeated collapse at home
• Collapsed after a long flight home
• Stabbed in the groin
• Two days of noisy breathing, now barely rousable
• A newborn limp at delivery

The Core Pack, one purchase, adds five more: palpitations that turned into chest pain, palpitations out of nowhere, a head-on collision, a silent chest in a struggling five-year-old, and a non-vigorous newborn.

Each case follows current resuscitation guidelines: shocks and drugs on the right schedule, reversible causes found and fixed, bleeding controlled first. The team holds you to it — a shock or a dose given too early gets "Not yet, doctor."

A REAL ROOM
• A monitor across the top of the screen: the ECG sweeping, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen and capnography, with real alarms. It never names the rhythm for you — that is your call.
• What matters right now, as four big buttons. In an arrest: Shock, CPR, Epinephrine and Airway. With a pulse: Monitor, 12-lead, Reassess and Call. After the pulse comes back, the post-arrest steps. Everything else is under Code, Meds, Labs, Imaging and Call.
• X-rays, ECGs and ultrasound open in a window inside the room while the code goes on. They are real, reviewed studies, each credited to its source, and you read them yourself.
• Step up to the bedside for a closer look at the patient.
• In the trauma cases, ask for the primary survey and x A B C D E appears. Each letter opens its exam, orders and imaging.
• The whole team speaks in natural voices.

DECIDE, THEN SEND THE PATIENT ON
Name your diagnosis, then choose where the patient goes. The consultants answer back: call cardiology too soon and they will ask what you are calling it; send a patient to the wrong place and the nurse or the consultant will push back until you choose a right one.

SPEAK YOUR ORDERS
Hold the mic and talk the way you would in a code. Your words are turned into text on the device. Prefer to tap or type? Every order has a button, and the order box takes typing.

LEARN FROM EVERY RUN
The debrief fits on one screen: your score out of 100 on one side, and on the other the summary, the checklist of critical actions — with why each missed step matters and the guideline behind it — every order on the code clock, and the clinical reasoning for the case. The attending reads you a short review. On devices with Apple Intelligence, ask the attending about your case. Then rate the case, if you like.

ON IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC
The Core Pack covers all of them. On iPhone Duo, open it like a book: the patient and the monitor on one page, your orders on the other.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads, and no account needed. Sign in with Apple only if you want your training log on all your devices, and delete the account any time. Nothing is sent unless you choose to: signing in, a rating, case logs to help improve the app, or your email address if you sign up to hear about new cases.

For education and simulation practice only. Resus Room is not medical advice, is not a certification, and must not be used for decisions about real patients. The patients are fictional.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-29

Sign in if you like, a room that answers your touch, and repeat studies that show what your treatment did.

• Repeat an ECG, X-ray or ultrasound after a treatment and it shows the result: sinus rhythm after a successful cardioversion, the lung sliding again after decompression.
• "Collapsed after a long flight home" is now free.
• Optional Sign in with Apple keeps your training log on all your devices. Delete the account any time under More › Account.
• Buttons respond to your touch, with a thud for a shock and a moment when the pulse comes back.
• Vitals roll smoothly, and the monitor no longer jumps when capnography appears.
• A calmer, cleaner look, and the home screen follows your text size.
• Many fixes from play-testing.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-24

Smarter consultants, quieter arrivals and quicker exits — shaped by emergency physicians playing real cases.

• Consultants talk like real consultants. If one tells you a step before you've done it, that step earns no points.
• Call a team that isn't right for the patient and they'll tell you so.
• Voice orders are ready sooner: the speech model starts loading as soon as the app opens.
• Arrival videos without the background static.
• End case takes you straight back to the case list.
• Cleaner room pictures and many fixes from play-testing.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-23

Faster, clearer resuscitations — shaped by emergency physicians playing real cases.

• Call the rhythm straight from the monitor: tap the telemetry strip at a rhythm check and pick VF, VT, PEA or asystole.
• Rhythm checks every two minutes, hands off the chest, just like a real code.
• Shock straight from the energy list, and answer the team's yes/no questions with one tap.
• Consultants take the patient themselves once your diagnosis is right and the patient is ready — no extra step.
• Safer voice orders: if a drug or a shock wasn't heard clearly, the nurse asks you to say it again instead of guessing.
• Pause any case, and End case always gives you a debrief of what you did.
• Typing stays sideways, with your order large above the keyboard.
• History and Results open beside the patient, never over them.
• Children: measure with the length-based tape and dose by its colour zone.
• A case list that never gives the answer away, a new More tab, and many fixes from play-testing.
• On Mac: a Case menu with keyboard shortcuts, including rhythm calls.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-20

Five new free first-aid cases: choking at a restaurant, an infant choking in a high chair, peanut anaphylaxis on the playground, an overdose by the main stage, and a cyclist bleeding on River Road. Fourteen cases are now free.

In the trauma cases, ask for the primary survey: x A B C D E appears, and each letter opens its own exam, orders and imaging.

Films and the exam follow what you have done: a chest tube, a pelvic binder or a breathing tube shows on the next film, and earlier films stay on the list.

The car crash has its own films and bedside echo, and trauma surgery asks for your diagnosis.

The mic is ready sooner, and many fixes come from players' notes.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-16
