No fees. Just pure Quran memorisation made easy. The best App i tried to date *2025-04-16, version 1.14* Honestly, this is one of the best apps I’ve ever used. Retain Quran is completely free — no ads, no subscriptions, no annoying pop-ups. Just a clean, focused space to help you memorise the Quran properly. And the best part? It actually works. The spaced repetition method they use is a game-changer. It makes the memorisation process feel manageable and sustainable, even if you’ve struggled with it before. Asa beginner, I’ve always felt daunted by how to sustain retention (basically to not forget what you have memorised) as it is hard to organise all the ayahs you need to revise in a constant and organised way. This app solves that problem completely! You can really tell the team behind this app cares. They’re not in it for money — they’re genuinely building something beneficial for the ummah. The updates keep coming, and every one makes the app better. If you’re able to donate, please do. These kinds of sincere projects deserve support. It’s rare to find something this good, this useful, and this selfless — especially in today’s app market. Massive respect to the team. Flash card modes to make sure you retain your hidf. Not to mention, going from horizontal view is easy- there is not didgial zooms. The app is free. Night mode is a pleasant touch, audio recitors as well. I high suggest you download right away. I just downloaded it recently and going through the flash cards showed me how much I needed to work on my revision. I love the app and having the flash card option really helps while you are on the go. Instead of wasting time on the phone while waiting in line or for the bus, I can use this app and review my past memorization. I really appreciate this app and would like to thank those who designed it, JazakAllahu Kheyran. It is a wonderful alternative to games and social media. I like the fact that there are no ads while using the app. It’s also straight-forward and easy to use. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work properly and just shuts itself *2024-11-04* Seems there is a bug but there is no way to alert developers other than writing a review ### 3/5 — Very useful for visual learners but there’s a few issues *2024-09-20* This app is amazing for memorisation and helps you capture the position of each ayah aiding your memory. A few critiques are the fact you can’t undo if you click on a button (shake to undo doesn’t work) as sometimes you can click the wrong one. Also for some ayahs the first word not fully covered which defeats the purpose of testing the memory. There’s also no way to report bugs to the developer of the app. Which is suprising as it’s quite a new app and has a few bugs! Both of these can be easily fixed though in shaa Allah. JazakAllahu khayran ### 3/5 — Flash Card *2024-09-04* I believe flash cards should be each Aya with translation and big writings. When recites the Aya, it should highlights the alphabet so we know which is reciting and how it supposed to be pronounced and of course little slower pace to understand for the beginners. ### 4/5 — Nice. A few bugs *2025-09-17* I really love this app. I’m not sure if it’s just me , but my cards technically restart about every 30 days. I’ll be about halfway through my revisions and I’ll have to start all over again. The play audio button doesn’t seem to work anymore either. **Developer response:** Salam, We have done alot of changes to the app, including updating all the libraries (for performance) and also the storage location (Cost + performance) and it wasn't the easiest migration and created some bugs/issues.
