## What is Retalk?

The new social network for people frustrated with Silicon Valley big tech. The new platform where everyone gets heard.

Our mission is to create a better social network by doing two things:

- Avoiding woke censorship
- Creating long form, good quality discussion, rather than short form hostility that social networking is known for.

Retalk has built interest-based discussion forums. These are known as communities. These forums are moderated by volunteer moderators, who are passionate about a topic.

Our systems are built so that in depth, thought out discussion is rewarded.

Extremism in any form is frowned upon, and will be removed and banned if extreme enough.

When creating an account it says only use letters and numbers and no matter what letter number combo I enter I keep getting the same error message.

I really wanted to like this app. It doesn't let you create topics to post under and the ones available don’t fit the subjects I am looking for. I can find a few communities of interest but they don’t seem to nest under any topics. And when I tried to create a community for things that interest me…the created page was unresponsive to additions, attempts to edit (feature seems absent), or post to the page…and if I leave it disappears and does not show up in a site search. 

The concepts seem there. The execution leaves much to be desired.

I was very interested in this app, but just trying to sign up was an issue. It asks for name, email and password. So I entered all that information and then I get a warning prompt that I can only use letters and numbers. Well email addresses require an @ and a . So it won’t take that. I tried without it and the it says that the email address must be valid AND to use only letters and numbers. Extremely frustrating!

This is easily one of the most frustrating apps that I’ve had the misfortune of installing. I’ve lost count of the times that I’ve either had to log-in or verify my e-mail address (repeatedly). I’ve wasted 2+ hours & am done. I’m deleting once I’m finished here. Good riddance to this monstrosity!
