And frustrating. *2025-10-10, version 1.0* Two reviews. 1). It is free. It works pretty well. It is, for folks with experience rendering the Mandelbrot set for decades, amazing how quickly and how deep you can go. This is truly breathtaking. Wow. 2). Very buggy. Saving images sometimes works. Sometimes doesn’t. iPad works better than iPhone. I wish we could mix the deep zooming abilities of this app with the polish of Frax. But I am confused on how to see the col points on the second video where u touch the app so I would recommend to add a tutorial so u know what to do and how to use/create your own fractals. The drift zoom goes on infinitely and allows you to truly experience the fractals in a mesmerizing way. There are color adjustments as well and different computational fractals which have beautiful multi-colored patterns. This is incredibly fast for iPhone 14. Rendering high resolution videos much better now. Perhaps it was a limitation of my hardware, and cache available tripping up the app? In any case who am I to say? … this is a free masterpiece. The developer gives full access to all parameters by long pressing and modifying them. Quite brilliant. Thank you so much and sorry about my earlier review. 2022 Great app, but incredibly frustrated trying to render high resolution videos and export them. I should have more than enough space on my tablet but only rendering 5% zoom takes forever, then crashes. In some cases I can get 10% to work at high resolution. Perhaps the app needs more cache to work with? Danke dafür! Die App rendert meistens extrem schnell und lässt extrem tiefe Zoomstufen von (laut Beschreibung) bis zu 10^20000 zu, was die Fähigkeiten aller anderen von mir getesteten App um etliche Zehnerpotenzen übersteigt. Retinamandelbrot erlaubt das Speichern und Teilen beliebiger Stellen, entweder als Bild, HD Video, Link oder in Form von Koordinaten. Der Auto-Zoom ist ein wunderbares Feature. Ich finde es nur leider unmöglich, den Autozoom so zu aktivieren, dass er auf der Stelle bleibt, in die ich hineinzoomen möchte. Bitte ändern ! ### 3/5 — Uh oh. *2024-09-22, version 1.0* I made a zoom at the time that was intended to be deeper than Orson Wang’s Deepest Zoom (which is on YouTube) and have 1,000,000 iterations. This isn’t the hardest zoom I made, I made a 217,000,000 iteration one. But let’s get into what will the zoom will be. I started to zoom between the largest y positioned center minibrot and the tip of the Mandelbrot. Then we zoom in the minibrot’s edge. Until we go into the minibrot at 199 iterations. It will go a little in from the 256-way rotational symmetry. Then it goes again, but this time in that area, once we get to the first needle there, we will go left, and zoom all the way to the minibrot there. If it doesn’t get to 2.1x10^275, We need to zoom to the part of the 4-way julia set in the 2-way Julia set in the largest y positioned center minibrot’s west end. Although it didn’t go as expected. By 2.4x10^278, the environment of the Mandelbrot’s position suddenly malfunctioned, including the zoom factor that had been broken prior to the environment. I tried to get out of there and getting in by doing the new one but the same but with different color palette. It got worse and all that was left was a un-zooming mode of the GUI and a 512 with a random space after that, and that was boxed. Thanks for letting your system break your game because of some one random problem. I deleted it. If you want to start exploring the Mandelbrot set, download this app. It can even make little zoom videos for you. I do have a few critiques, though. It would be cool to have a Kalles Fraktaler styled color system where you pick the colors in the set instead of the built-in color system. It would also be cool to let people make it zoom slower. Also, if the app closes, the zoom sequence stops rendering and you have to start over. But overall, these limitations don’t take away from the app’s ability to render fractals at such deep locations. And don’t even get me started on how they managed to get the fractals to have infinite iterations.
