One thing that bugs me is you can at least put which Digimon is which. Like you can put the name of the Digimon’s species name on the Growth chart. Also can you also put how long when out Digimon will evolve into the next stage as well. Those recommendations our just nick picks I have,but still it’s a good game!✌️ ### 3/5 — Good game, but bugged *2025-10-03, version 5.8.9* I noticed that the “weight” stat doesn’t effect anything in game. In fact, it will reset itself. Another issue I have is the leaderboards. Everytime I go to use it, it just says please wait and then goes back to normal. However, after I decided to pay to have the ads removed and show my support for the game, they keep coming back and I keep having to hit restore purchases. Allow you to see monster names in the evolution line and evo requirements. Change the sleeping system to the D20 version maybe even training and combat as well. Specifically, even though I purchased Ad Free…every time I load up the app it forgets that I have ad free. I have to hit “Restore Purchases” every time or ads pop up. I’m hoping this gets to someone to fix this problem since I do not see a bug report button anywhere…. Anyway As for the actual app I absolutely love RetroMon! I’ve had it for years and it’s everything I want in a V-Pet! It’s a lot of nostalgic fun. My issue is despite the fact that I paid for ad free access, I’m still seeing ads and have to restore my purchase 1-2 times a day. Otherwise the game itself is great, just the right amount of neediness. ### 5/5 — Love this app *2024-10-16, version 5.7.2* The app is great. Ads if you want to use it for free, and a very reasonable one-time purchase of $4 to get rid of ads permanently and just have the app. I never had one of the original V-Pets, so I can't personally confirm that this works exactly the same, but I can say that all guides I've looked up for using those V-Pets have applied to RetroMon! A couple features I think would be cool (even though I know the V-Pets didn't have these): 1) Cancel Evolution. It's cool and all that the monsters turn into these awesome knights and warriors and what-not, but sometimes you just wanna keep taking care of a little monster 2) Shift sleep schedule. For some, this app can be a fun way to keep themselves on a responsible sleep schedule. But for others, their sleep schedule has to be different. I've been unable to use RetroMon for a while now because my schedule can't accommodate the monster's 10-8 sleep schedule. It would be cool if the monster's sleep schedule could be shifted over a little, so it's still 10 hours of sleep, but it sleeps and wakes up at different times to line up with whatever sleep schedule you may be stuck with. Other than that, love the app. Well worth the $4 to just have it ### 2/5 — Game is good. Far too many ads and problem with ad free purchase. *2024-10-12, version 5.7.2* First, I want to say that this game is pretty good. My problem is that you get an ad after just about every action you take. I’m sorry, but that is unacceptable to me. I would advise making pop up ads less frequent. Please update the app to check if the account owns the ad free micro transaction on startup. There is no reason I should have to restore purchases every time I open the app. I originally gave this app 4 stars because it’s good. Perfect nostalgia and really fun to play. Some suggestions for future update: 1) Storage for raised pets? I’m trying to collect all the final forms. Kind of a bummer I have to restart over and euthanize my current vpet. 2) Specific battle with friends? It’s inconvenient having to coordinate synced entry into the lobbies vs sending your friend a challenge or something. I also can’t find the barcode for local battle. 3) Battle music? Be cool to have background music in the lobby. I remember the traditional vpet had something when preparing to battle and when connected.
