Only flaw is that it doesn’t show a picture of the album while playing, otherwise it’s great. It won’t be as good as podify but still good nonetheless :)

I don't like the stock music app on iOS so I have been looking for alternatives but this is not one. It only connects to music streaming services. Music you have on your phone will not be played.

the click wheel is very buggy at least for me on all sensitivity settings, and all your playlists and saved albums don’t “fetch” so you can only listen to a couple, and the “user guide” in settings doesn’t work? I don’t know if it’s just a me problem but I really like this idea, it just needs some work

I love this a lot! I normally don’t write reviews but I was hoping to make a possible suggestion. I know that the major streaming platforms are on here, but I was hoping maybe in the future, something like SoundCloud, Deezer, or TIDAL could be available as well? I’m switching over from Spotify (for many reasons) to either TIDAL or Deezer and have been using SoundCloud for many years, it would be cool to finally get to play something from SoundCloud at least. I understand if it’s not fully possible! I know Spotify already had tools for developers, I’m not sure if SoundCloud does. Anyway, thank you for this cool app! I’ll enjoy it until my subscription runs out and when I want to use Apple Music instead.

it’s a well crafted app has great controls and functions well (is exactly like a real ipod) but i’d love it if there were more customizable features like changing the color of the iPod and adding personalized stickers just like you would with a physical ipod. please take this into consideration!!!

I love the app for the most part, it has the vibes, the ui, etc. I love 2000’s stuff as an so this app was a lifesaver when I couldn’t find any good apps or websites that acted like an iPod. However my biggest issue with the app is that it’s so heavily connected to Spotify that it opens the app in the background as a tab to play the music. Which makes the app itself kind of pointless? I might as well use Spotify directly. secondly once you run out of skips it doesn’t let you do it in the app itself either. Very annoying personally. also when I go onto my liked instead of playing just the song I clicked on, it will play an entire album and I have to manually skip until it gets to the one I want (which if your out of skips is annoying cause then you have to listen to the whole album)  also I would think it’s cool to add more features like wallpapers, or when you click off the app it’ll show you a little icon at the top etc. great app though I hope my criticism is taken into account. ❤️

I downloaded it then I open if so I link my Spotify account it takes me to Spotify and then it opens retro pod again then it crashes and by the way I have an iPhone 11 please fix this

Only plays the one song you select, then plays something random — doesn’t play playlists or albums through or anything. Click wheel occasionally doesn’t respond to scrolling after selecting a menu. User guide doesn’t exist, artist albums are unavailable, and only being able to view an artist’s top 10 songs by an artist is limiting. I would like to navigate my own liked songs by an artist - like having the track synced to your iPod. It would also be great if the click wheel could be resizable, a now playing screen, and maybe different screen sizes. Perhaps skins matching different iPod colors and models could be cool, and a light/dark mode option. But music navigation improvements are needed most.

The UX feels clunky and the library system is poorly designed. (If a user has selected a provider don’t constantly prompt them to pick a provider, just make it a setting)

As an old dude who still uses an iPod classic,
I thought maybe I would be able to merge things. This app however has no “now playing “ window where you can see the length of the song, the song info etc.

This is a good idea in theory, the execution is just off. You’re better off just using Apple Music.

Really love this app, the click wheel and haptic feedback work really well to deliver the authentic iPod experience. 

The only issue I have with this app is that when I start playing a song from within the app it does not continue playing from the same source. For example if I were to play the first track from an album, the next track would be something from my Apple Music cue instead of the second song from the album. Unfortunately this mean I have to interact with the app every time a song finishes and select another song. If there is some way to fix this that would be amazing. I have used Marvis which also accesses the Apple Music but does not have this issue so I’m sure it must be possible somehow.

One other thing that could be useful would be when you return to the previous menu if the app would remember where you were so you don’t have to scroll all the way down with the scrollwheel again.

Simplistic, straight to the point, A simple little app made to replicate the iPod Classic experience on the iPhone, no ads to interrupt your listening experience, it’s perfect!

there are a couple of things that would probably make the app better, like a playing now tab showing what’s playing now, like on the iPods. I did experience some issues with the clickwheel where i often found myself pressing the buttons when i wanted to scroll but i don’t think there’s really a way to fix this.

besides this, it’s perfect, the connectivity is perfect, the interface is perfect, it’s a great app!

i absolutely love the look and feel of this app. it is exactly like the ipod i remember having. i love that it works with spotify and even allows you to listen to your personal playlists.

the only issue is that when you play a song, it repeats that song until you hit the next button. it would be great is it would automatically play the next song. if that one minor fix was made this app would easily be 5/5 stars. it’s just annoying having to go in and manually hit next when the song starts to replay.
