It reminds me of being in high school when my mom would just leave The Weather Channel on in the background. The weather info is also really great too, the satellite feed and detail are fabulous. Chock full of great weather information, and of course that beautiful retro design we all remember and love from our days checking into the hotel on a roadtrip, turning on the TV, and heading right for TWC! Noted 4/25/26: On the local radar screen, the precipitation covers up city names and state borders. On a day like today, where we’re “socked in”, the entire screen is nothing but green, yellow, and blue. ### 3/5 — Really rooting for this app, but it needs work *2026-04-25* Pro subscriber here. At night, it shows the sun icon instead of the moon. At first I thought the app was just taking a moment to get the right icons but it never changed. Second, and the biggest issue, the weather isn’t accurate (maybe it’s just my area). It shows the temperature for a city that is near me instead of my city’s weather. If that was fixed, this app would be 10/10. **Developer response:** Thank you for going Pro and for the detailed report. Both issues you flagged are addressed in the update I have in review right now. The night icon will switch to the moon at sunset, and Pro will turn on Hyper-Local Weather automatically so you get your exact location instead of the nearest reporting station. I've thought that as well. In the meantime, did you know you can swipe through the scene cards? Just swipe left or right to navigate to the radar scene when you want to see it. Definitely need to have my moon ! lol ### 5/5 — App no longer works after upgrading to pro *2026-04-17, version 1.5.18* Love the app, was working good until I upgraded to pro this past Sunday on version 1.15.12 and now it doesn’t load any info unless I delete and reinstall. But once I close it, it goes back to not loading. Even with successive updates. Keep hoping it’ll get fixed! Update: update 1.15.18 fixed the issue! ### 3/5 — Love it when it worked *2026-04-15* I liked it so much I bought the annual subscription…but a recent update (1.5.14) has essentially killed the app. Nothing populates for the last few days. I get the music and a screen that says “data outdated, tap to refresh.” But nothing happens when I tap. None of the settings come up. It doesn’t screen scroll up or down. I’ve had to redownload the Apple weather app in order to get my forecast. I’ll check back periodically to see if it ever gets fixed. When it works, I love it. Just not fully confident it will always work right. **Developer response:** I'm sorry you're dealing with this, especially after committing to the annual. The "data outdated, tap to refresh" not forcing a real refresh is a bug I just tracked down in the refresh logic, and a fix is coming in an upcoming update. 1.5.18 also shipped stability work that should get the cards populating again. Please update and I hope you see a real difference. Thank you for the annual support. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Data never loads *2026-07-19, version 1.6.6* My location is in and it’s allowed to use it but the weather data never loads and says it’s unable to load weather data. ### 1/5 — Great concept, needs some work *2026-04-13* The free version worked great, but the paid version is unusable. While using the app, if you slightly rotate the phone, and the screen flips horizontal, the app completely locks up. The only way to then use the app is to delete the app and redownload it, but you will have to repeat the delete and redownload if the screen rotates again. I turned the ability to rotate the screen off, and the app still froze twice while in the settings. I’ll use the app and update this review once it’s fixed. **Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed report. The rotation freeze you described is a bug I've been actively fixing across recent updates. I've rebuilt the rendering system to prevent exactly this kind of lockup, and I have another update in review right now. You should not need to delete and reinstall. Please update to the latest version and if the issue persists, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing about it. I'm a solo developer and reports like yours help me zero in on these problems. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2026-04-06* I really liked the IDEA of the app so I got it and for the first 2 days it worked, so I decided to get the Pro version, after that, for whatever reason, it doesn’t work AT ALL. The app is already frozen the literal second you open it. I gave it a few days to see if it was a glitch or needed an update. Got 2 updates and still awful. I guess don’t buy the app if you want it to work. **Developer response:** I'm really sorry about this experience, especially after you invested in Pro. The freeze-on-launch bug has been my top priority and I've shipped multiple updates this week with fixes. The latest version (1.5.12) addresses the root cause. Ever since then it’s just remained frozen. The data wont refresh and it just stalls. Cool concept. The app freezes and does nothing but play soft jazz, no weather data display at all. Closing and restarting does nothing. Devs, please fix this stuff because I want to use your app!!! ### 2/5 — Needs some work *2026-03-31* I loved this, so I upgraded to pro. After that my phone became very hot. I couldn’t close the app. Couldn’t turn off my phone. It took multiple attempts. Talking to Siri, taking screenshots, and trying to do anything to force another app to take over. After draining about half of my battery I finally could hold the lock button and volume down, and restart my phone. I opened the app and the same thing happened. So I deleted it and cancelled the subscription. **Developer response:** I sincerely apologize for that experience. The issue you hit was a serious bug where the app locked up the main thread and wouldn't release control. I've identified and fixed the root cause across several updates. If you're willing to reinstall and try the latest version, I think you'll have a much better experience. I understand if not, but the offer stands. ### 2/5 — Aesthetic vs. Functionality *2026-03-24* I truly want to like this app but in its current state, it’s just not reliable for checking the weather. I mostly check the widget for quick info and then open the app for more detail on upcoming forecasts but as of now, I experience freezing and incorrect locations nearly 90% of the time I try to use it. I’m keeping my subscription for the time being in the hopes that the funds for this solo developer help to make this app what I hope it can be. I hope I can earn your confidence that this app will be everything you hoped for. ### 2/5 — a great start but needs work *2026-03-10* since upgrading to Pro, i’ve had multiple crashes that require force closing but still persist after the app reopens. not quite the replacement for my regular weather app yet things like setting multiple cities broke it for me pretty consistently to the point where i just stopped trying i really like the vibe of this app and the base song that comes with the app is a bop. let’s iron those things so it can be as great as it should be **Developer response:** I appreciate the honest feedback and glad the music hits right! The crashes you saw with multiple cities were a real bug in how the app handled location switching. I've completely rebuilt that system over the past several weeks. The latest version should be much more stable. It’s shown in the UI as “Custom Playlist (Enterprise)”… and you please just make so I can just pick a playlist from my music library? This seems heavily based on WeatherStar 4000+, but I appreciate the nice enhancements. Keep up the good work! ### 5/5 — Love this!
