If you want manual control of the camera settings, you can't go past this. Very smooth and intuitive. You select the settings to change (ISO, Shutter, etc.) then just swipe across the screen to adjust. Use the Volume Up or Down to snap the shot. The app is extremely simple and nice to use. My single complaint is that I can't use the Telephoto lens of the Plus. ### 3/5 — Like a DSLR but... *2015-01-04, version 1.0* Let's get the flaws out the way. On my iPhone 6, it just has an insufferable lag to the point where it's just unusable. This usually happens when I adjust any manual setting. This app has all the potential to replace the stock iOS camera app, but unless the app can be in sync with the camera, it don't know if it can make the cut. Other than that, it has most (Not ALL but most) of the manual controls that any avid or professional photographer can appreciate. The controls are very easy to use and layout is stylish but to the point. I just hope a future update can take care of the jitters it has with the viewfinder. Until then, I have to hold back all my praise ### 4/5 — Imperfect, but Perfect *2025-04-21, version 1.4.1* I hate having apps on my phone that are enormous in size, collect data from the user, or charge a perpetual subscription for the privilege of using the app. This is none of those. The app is small, private, and even free. For an 8 year old app, it even works pretty well. Actually takes better pics than the phone camera because it has more controls, /settings. Don't know why low ratings because someone has to fiddle with controls and gets upset cause it's not just open, snap, done. They just just stick with the native iOS camera. Had this app when it very first came out. Always my go to app for low light shots! Although I would hope there was video mode. It is a minimal but functional app, which is highly appreciated! It is also very responsive and intuitive which is a must for camera apps in my view. There are a few bugs currently, but they are minor and the developer has responded quickly to suggestions and bug reports, which leads me to believe they will be fixed swiftly! I shall update this review when this is the case. Edit: the updated version now works as expected!
