【The Rev Saxophone Quartet】
上野耕平、宮越悠貴、都築惇、田中奏一朗の４人で結成されたサクソフォン四重奏。
高校時代からコンクールやアカデミーなどで顔を合わせていた4人が、東京藝術大学で再会し、2013年にクヮルテットを結成。クヮルテット名の「Rev」とは、 エンジンの回転などを意味する「Rev.」が由来。音楽のもつ無限なエネルギーをメンバー4人が音として奏で、1つの方向へ疾走したい、という思いを込めている。これまでに全国各地でリサイタルやアウトリーチ活動など様々な演奏活動を行う。常にサクソフォン四重奏のためのレパートリーはもちろん、新曲の委嘱や初演、ピアノや邦楽器などとの共演も積極的に行い、サクソフォン四重奏の更なる可能性を追求している。現在、メンバーはソリストとしても活躍 しており、それぞれのキャラクターが違うからこそ4人がそろったときに新たな色をもつ唯一無二のクヮルテットになっている。
