Use to be good, can no longer recommend ### 1/5 — drivers are ease target *2025-05-26, version 4.40.0* Revel target drivers for baseless allegations of riders, ### 1/5 — Bait and Switch ride app *2025-05-16, version 4.40.0* if what you’re looking for is an app that try to give you discounts that are kept to take rides that are always delayed and then when the driver arrives - cancels within one or two minutes and then even when they are meant to arrive, they just cancel on you and it doesn’t even show on your trips so you can’t even ask for a reason - all you get is a notification of the trip was cancelled and it’s your problem - it’s an app that is never gonna work it will fail such terrible customer service. It shows you public transit routes and an option to use Revel and a price estimate. I am headed to the airport and it estimates $69. So I click on it but now it says $97. I give them that feedback and say that's not transparent pricing. They answer back it's real time dynamic pricing. I said your estimate in the transit app was real time telling me something totally different which is misleading. At any time of the day- even with my location on. The discounts and perks are cool- IF YOU EVER GET A CAR! I’m going to delete this app that’s basically taking space in my phone. For it to be based in my city and I can’t get a car is wild to me. Please do better ! & find a way to improve in your services . ### 4/5 — Scheduled Rides Need Work *2025-03-27, version 4.40.0* In general I love Revel, but when I schedule a ride ahead for an airport drop off they never dispatch a driver early enough to arrive by my pick up time. In general, wait times for drivers are much longer than other ride hail apps (10-15 min on avg) which I assume is due to fewer drivers. Still, if I need a 3am pick up for the airport I need a 3am pick up, not a 3:15 am pick up. ### 1/5 — Unreliable and unresponsive *2025-03-16* They regularly will have long waits - fine if you’re not in a rush. But after a 10 minute wait, you ride will be cancelled. There is no notification that comes through; you have to keep your eye on the app. After your ride is cancelled, they set you up for another long wait… which could be cancelled again. … When the ride actually does come, it is often 5-10 minutes longer than they said. (You can see them driving in circles or going nowhere) .. I used to use them all the time, but I stopped when my driver got in a wreck on the interstate on the way to the airport. They Literally left me with my luggage on the side of the road, no other rides would pick me up. I missed my flight. I only tried them again because (despite my unsubscribing) they kept emailing me 30-50% off rides. The rides at least used to be reliable: they are worst than ever before. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Stay away if you can. Wait times not accurate *2025-07-12, version 4.40.0* My experience was not fun especially since it was my first time using the app. Even when you plan ahead revel will make you tardy and when you cancel they will not refund the cancellation fee as per their “terms” . My wait time was a certain time but when I booked it the wait went down but the driver didn’t move. Because as per revel terms “ cancellation with anything more than 2 minutes will be subject to a cancellation fee” lol wow and the kicker here is, that the driver started to move on the app, but then the wait time increased 10 MINUTES! Lol of you read this and made of this far. Don’t waste your time and don’t connect your banking. I requested to delete my app and information. ### 1/5 — Never available *2025-06-30, version 4.40.0* I attempted to use revel. Every time it just puts a pending charge on my card, then cancels my ride and says drivers aren’t available. This is not a helpful app. ### 1/5 — Encourage Bad Drivers *2025-06-29, version 4.40.0* First off every driver is going to be a minimum of 15 minutes away, but even after they reach you they can come just to start the ride then immediately cancel and still collect the full fare. This means I’m saying they will charge you without you ever taking. ride. Revels customer support will do nothing and your only option is to dispute it with your bank. If you want to take that risk, try it out! ### 1/5 — Horrible buggy app *2025-06-20, version 4.40.0* GREAT service. Much cheaper than the other two most of the time. All electric fleet, superior comfort and ride compared to old timey gas vehicles. The problem is the buggy app. In NYC I have to let drivers know the business where I am because the location on the map is almost always wrong. Sometimes it’s just across the street but other times, it’s blocks away. That’s a huge strike. The other issue is messages not refreshing/app locking up, or it works differently from time to time. iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB, latest OS, so it’s for sure not the device. If they can get someone who can squash the many bugs, then it will be a 100% solid service. Until then, keep a VERY close eye on what the app does. ### 1/5 — The waiting time is ridiculous *2025-06-17, version 4.40.0* Im always using their app because of the reliable prices but its very frustrating how the waiting time jumps from 7 mins to 15 minutes and that’s not even guaranteed because the drives love to take wrong turns and stuff it’s really becoming annoying and they really need to start hiring more drivers this is insane ### 1/5 — Great concept - terrible driver *2025-06-14, version 4.40.0* The app worked great and pricing was competitive. That said, after a crazy drive to the airport, all three passengers were ready to hurl. Two of the passengers own Teslas and it’s pretty common knowledge that if you accelerate like crazy and have a high rate of deceleration (since you took your foot off the gas and the car decelerated through regenerative braking), everyone is going to feel like they are on a roller coaster. Do that like twenty times on the highway and forget about repeat customers. ### 1/5 — Scheduled ride *2025-06-14, version 4.40.0* Great app but on scheduled pickup set hours ahead of time, pick up is outside the pick up window. Also the app will cancel the ride at the last minute and I will be stuck paying higher prices. ### 1/5 — Complete Scam *2025-06-06, version 4.40.0* Revel pre-authorised amount which was almost more than 3 times of the actual ride fair and never refunded. They have a horrible slow customer service as well.
