Revel's glitches over the last few months have cost our business money and now you want to start nickel and diming your customers to use an app you sold us on as being free? Can't wait to get out of this contract and on to a competitor. ### 1/5 — Are you kidding me? *2017-01-10, version 2.19.5* After what you charge for your system you're going to nickel and dime us for 9 dollars a month (per user) to run this app? Seriously? That's ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Login wows *2016-12-16, version 2.19.5* I never use this app because of the complication of logging in. The password changes are enough but adding the URL and user name takes too long. I have several locations so it's dead on arrival. ### 1/5 — awful *2016-05-06, version 2.13.0* This app is useless. The little data it provides is unreadable and irrelevant. As a business owner, I simply want a simple, up-to-date graphic snapshot of my business: gross and net sales, hourly if possible, labor as % of sales, and # of open checks. If you can give that to me with the ability to compare to the previous same day of the week (today versus last Friday), that would be even better. Beyond that, I’ll go to the website for a deeper dive. Please make this legible and simple. And soon. ### 1/5 — Weak Sauce *2016-03-13, version 2.13.0* I love the idea of an app for our reports. This app is worthless. Nothing manageable or useful is shown at all. I think you need to include the entire menu mix, the daily sales, the labor numbers and the operation report. Reformat those reports to fit a mobile device and put it in an app and I would pay money for it. Right now I just use the bookmark of the back-end on my home screen and pinch-to-zoom, so it is not a need to have just a handy wish. ### 1/5 — No functionality *2016-02-05, version 2.10.0* Showed total sales and top 10, but could not switch locations. No way to log out and log back in. Deleted app and reinstalled which resulted in no login at all. Just left them. They are completely unethical with their contracts and still billed me after cancellations had been done. I’m so glad I’m done with them. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever! *2023-01-27, version 2.75.5* This is the most horrible app for a business I have ever used. No real time without having to wait FOREVER to refresh unless it crashes and you have to start all over again. No way to check your online orders coming in. We use revel for our cafe and while it works reasonably well their implementation for management to see key data on phones is poor. We use Vend for our Shop and as of right now I have a Widget that I can use to display any information I want. Crucial data on my Home Screen. And of course, it is free as part of their subscription. Sort yourselves our Revel, you are now years behind competition. We have been thinking of leaving the system recently and the short term money-grabbing bs like this is nudging us over the edge. ### 1/5 — Not Real Time *2020-05-18, version 2.59.1* Horrible app and not “real time” as stated. The website is real time but with the app you will not receive real time sales or labor....and now it won’t even let me log in! My license key which did work before doesn’t now. I tried calling but was on hold for 10 minutes, sorry just use the website on your phone ### 1/5 — Revel insights *2017-12-05, version 2.31.1* You download app for free then you have to pay $8.00 / month to activate it. Revel system marketing apps, getting paid but apps are not functional . No one charges extra to use their app except revel.
