I write notes about people and remember personal details, but I forget their names. This means I can’t find the person by association. For instance, if I remember where I met them, I wouldn’t be able to find their name. ### 3/5 — Love the idea, but a bit buggy *2025-10-19, version 4.8.1* This app is perfectly designed and has the potential to be really useful. However, it doesn’t see newly added contacts, even when refreshed, access revoked and re-initiated, phone restarted etc. ### 4/5 — So far so good *2024-12-23* I’ve been looking for something like this for a while and have just been using my Notes app on my iPhone, but I wanted something that was more organized. I think it’s so important to remember important things about people and this is very helpful. My only wish is that you could import from your contacts rather than have to re-enter people and all their info. Other than that, it’s awesome. **Developer response:** Glad to hear. Mark ### 4/5 — Great app missing another important feature *2024-08-05* I go to a lot of conferences which always have a pdf file with the conference program and the list of people who attended the conference. I then have handwritten notes on those pdfs. I would like to be able to upload those pdfs to the app, ideally to the groups. Being able to upload them to people would be second best if it is difficult to incorporate uploading pdfs to groups. (I am annual paid customer and would be willing to pay more with this feature. I don’t plan to renew without this feature as it is much more easier for me to take notes on pdfs.) **Developer response:** Hmmm, this is a really interesting feature. I'm a big handwritten note persChatGPTon and this would be pretty handy. I have plans to add functionality that parses unstructured notes and saves them to Revere; the handwriting recognition might be relatively straightforward to add with some of the new AI models. I'll definitely look into this. However, I'm not sure I'll be able to get to it soon. In the meantime, a trick I use myself is uploading my handwritten notes to ChatGPT or Gemini and asking it to transcribe them, to then copy/paste wherever I need. It does a surprisingly good job, even keeping bullets and other formatting if you ask. Thanks for writing. ### 4/5 — No pdf upload possible *2024-08-05* I would like to be able to upload pdf files. I go to a lot of conferences and meet many people at the conferences. The conference programs are already in pdf and it is easy to scriblle notes on them, which is what I do. It would be nice to be able to upload those pdfs into the app, alas this is not possible. (I sent an email to the developer to request this feature but that there was no response. I suppose the developer is too busy to acknowledge the receipt.) It helps me remember conversations and people I recently met. Yet as I input new and old people I know I have run into one issue. When we select how we know the people there could be many more ways like coaches, teachers, business interests and more. As an app developer I understand adding things may be difficult but I truly believe adding these little options could prove very beneficial for the app and your users experiences. There are some adjustments that are needed in the relationship options. Please add the following so that we can respect people’s identities and also select general terms rather than gender-specific terms when information is absent, such as “so and so colleague has a sibling called Alex and we haven’t any idea whether Alex is male or female (or non-binary), but we want to document this relationship accordingly in Revere.” Including these options would take this app from great to excellent. What is needed is a basic flash card game to help one actually remember the contacts added. I get that it’s great for close friends, but when you have a memory disability there aren’t many tools to help you remember your own friends. ### 4/5 — Great - but could you add option to link to Facebook? *2021-08-19, version 3.8.2* Hi! Really enjoying the app. A couple suggestions though. Firstly, could you add an option to link to Facebook? Would be nice if profile pictures could be updated accordingly and also if it could self-populate some information such as birthday from Facebook to speed up the process. ### 3/5 — $5/month turns me off *2021-06-29, version 3.8.2* I wouldn't mind paying $5 one time for the add groups feature, but paying anything per month, Im not willing. ### 4/5 — Best personal CRM user experience *2021-05-10* I love the style of the app, it’s really easy to use and things like reminders „every month or so“ are just great because I don’t have to think about when exactly I schedule someone and there’s no danger of people noticing that I am sticking to a schedule (like every 2nd of the month). However, I still hesitate to go all-in with my data because there is no export function whatsoever! The app does not seem to have a very high rating in the App Store and I am afraid of what will happen if it gets shut down or at least not developed further. This is an absolute MUST in order to put all my contacts and loads of notes into it. When is this coming? In the meantime I have to stick to Mogul, which has an export so at some point I can hopefully import these data into Revere. Also, it would be great to have a contact diary of some form. I want to see when I were in contact with people. I really hope the app gets further development, as you developers really deserve much more credit for it. And I am sure so many people would really need and use it, if only they knew it existed. **Developer response:** Thank you MoSVW for the review and good words. And yes, an export feature is coming soon. ### 4/5 — Just right *2020-11-26* This app is clean, intuitive, and easy to use. It’s just right to prompt me to stay in touch. It doesn’t have all the cruft of a full blown CRM. One issue that keeps this from being a full-blown 5 is that after I loaded about 25 people, it started hanging during scrolling, and when checking off 1-off reminders. There is no overdue reminder to reach out. A person could be busy on due date. The app ideally should remind the next day to fulfill the task. Not assume it is done and move on with life. **Developer response:** You’re exactly right. The notifications in this current version aren’t great — it’s easy to lose them. There’s a new version I’m working on that improves this much better, including an overdue indicator inside the app and better actions from the notification itself. Instead it is mentioned in a small, easily overlooked note at the end of the description. Immediately uninstalled when I first opened the app as it asked me to create an account. Ridiculous! ### 1/5 — Requires login *2020-07-17, version 3.8.1* The listing for this app looks great, but you have to give up your name and email in order to even look at it, let alone try to use it. It doesn’t even support “log in with Apple” for privacy. It was a waste of my time to download it. ### 1/5 — Shit *2020-04-13, version 3.7* Why the hell do you have to do all of this on the cloud! Why can’t it be done on my device? ### 1/5 — Needs an account?!? *2019-10-30, version 3.4* You can’t even try it without creating an account. First, it really annoys me when developers do that. At least let me try without the sync or with demo data first. Nobody needs another account with another provider that will probably get hacked at some point like everyone else. Second, why do you even need an account? So we give you all our contacts information to store in your own servers? For sync? Use iCloud. Or how about an option if we just want to keep everything locally and not sync? ### 1/5 — No "Import All" function *2019-06-19, version 3.0.2* As per the app description... "Revere helps by being the SINGLE, trusted place for all the important details about the people in your life." This tells me it's meant to replace your contacts app. As such, why the heck is there no function to auto-import all of your contacts at once?? Or, better still, import and link changes for matching fields. ### 1/5 — Requires an account *2019-06-14, version 3.0.2* This app requires an account. No doubt the developers will say that it’s to sync data between all your devices - but that’s why Apple created iCloud. The concern is that an unknown and untrusted third party will have access to personal information about all my friends. Sorry! Give me the option to sync with iCloud, or even Dropbox, and I might use the app. ### 1/5 — Just what I needed *2019-05-27, version 3.0* Lifesaver for my memory struggles. Thanks for grandfathering in your early supporters! ### 2/5 — Non binary *2022-10-15, version 3.8.8* I had to add a friend whose kid identifies as non binary and I don’t see the option so had to force my self to add the person as a daughter. Would be good to have more options for gender inclusiveness ### 2/5 — Would be great, except no notifications. *2021-05-14* This app is exactly what I am looking for, except it doesn’t seem to be giving me any notifications whatsoever. I am trying the premium plan, on an iPhone 7, iOS 13, if that makes a difference. I will also say that Revere hangs quite frequently, whenever I move from one app to another. The lag is quite substantial and seems localized only to this app. It isn’t a very helpful app if all of the reminders never show up at all. :/ happy to change my review if I can get this figured out though. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for writing. Looking forward to seeing the coming updates ### 5/5 — Great App, Few Remarks *2024-05-07* Wonderful application. I think it’s very modern layout and it is very useful for me remembering to care for and reach out to family and friends. A few suggestions: If there was a way to link family members when you add them into a person. For example. If I were to add my mom as a new person and then under the section family members add in my sister, her daughter. If my sister is already in the database it would be great to have a link through that family member so then I can click on her and it pulls up my sister’s person page. It would be wonderful to have subgroups. For instance, for my extended family, I could have a group called: Extended Family with a subgroup of cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. This would help navigate faster. Lastly it would be super neat to have a few more additional categories when adding people. For example I use the note section to write down peoples “favorites” of something. If you have more categories when filling out people like, a section of music or movies and then I could fill in their favorite movie is this or that, that would be wonderful. Another category could be where are they living, where did they grow up, what school do they go to, etc. Again, great app super helpful. Those are just a few suggestions that I think would be marvelous with the app you currently have. A place to note who’s uncle has the three kids with the ex wife and what all their names are. I’m hoping this will prove invaluable. ### 5/5 — Excellent app *2022-07-02, version 3.8.8* This app is great and keeps it very simple. At first I thought it would be a good CRM, but I don’t need that. This app does what it advertises, and let’s let you keep notes for socials and and any conversations. ### 5/5 — Great App - missing an important feature *2022-05-29* I am very glad you have produced this app and wish I had found it sooner - it fills a gap between the Genealogy/family tree apps and the CRM apps. However for me it is missing one feature that I would consider would make the subscription price worthwhile. I read a review from 2 years ago saying there was very little extra in the paid version - you agreed and said you would be making it worthwhile by constantly adding features - built I’m not seeing that in what the paid version advertises 2 years later. The feature it lacks (needs) is a field allows one to identify how each of your contacts are connected (if they are). For example each of my son’s records would list me as father and my record would each of them as son but nothing would link them to each other. Same for connected families and friends. Being able to show connections between people other than to me would take this app to the next level - effectively making it a family tree for living people and a connection tree for all my contacts (that only I have access to for privacy reasons). Add that feature and you will have my subscription. :-) **Developer response:** Hey Aussie, noted and agreed. The connections between people would be really useful. With this app it’s easy to take notes after meeting someone, so next time I see them I can ask about their job, school, family, etc and it’s much easier to strike up a conversation.
