Literally a video, not an interactive learning tool. And, they won’t refund either. The two games you can play don’t correctly interact either, lagging when writing or not recognizing any touch. Ridiculous, it’s definitely a scam. ### 1/5 — No sound or help *2022-10-25* No sound the sound doesn’t work which means some of the games can’t be played. Then when I went to email, it kept saying the message format was invalid and wouldn’t send via the website.. ### 1/5 — Poor programming *2021-09-25* This game could be decent in theory…but it’s clear that the programming is REALLY poor. It’s incredibly glitchy and unusable even for adults. They added a timer off button…doesn’t work. All of the games are very difficult to respond with touch screen. This absolutely should be a free game…but I would t use it even if it was free at this point ### 1/5 — Awful *2020-05-05* Don’t waste your money, terrible app ### 1/5 — More user consideration required *2019-07-17* My daughter was engaged and playing until the ballon game which plays a you’re a loser type sound because she didn’t win. This totally disheartened her and she won’t try the app again. To the developers, please remember that kids that are struggling need confidence support and encouragement. ### 1/5 — Sound doesn’t work *2019-05-21* The sound doesn’t work in iPhone and the app doesn’t have any written instructions either so it is impossible to play it without sound. **Developer response:** Hi there. Every person who has contacted me regarding the sound has had their phone in the mute state, even though they swear it isn't. Please go to this link for further instructions: https://blastofftoreading.com/soundVideo.html ### 1/5 — Not a good fit. *2019-01-16* The sound is awful and the games aren’t very engaging. My daughter was excited to try a new app but did not like it once she played it. I do like that it gives you the option to choose the letter to work on and the reversal. My daughter is 7, a younger kid might be more receptive to the games but it was just not a good fit for my family. ### 2/5 — Discouraging ending to ballon game *2026-04-25* My daughter was discouraged by the ending of the balloon game that gave “wahwah” sound instead of an encouraging message to keep trying. She was in tears- hard to get her excited about the game w that discouraging message and its 1/3 Gabe options available. Should have an encouraging message to keep kids engaged and to keep trying. ### 2/5 — Can't turn off timer *2017-06-30* I bought this to help my son with his letter reversals. He also has a processing speed issue. This would have worked great except the timers can't be adjusted or turned off and he can't process fast enough to work that way. Instead he hates the app because all it does is frustrate him. 5 stars if you make it so the timers can be turned off at will for practice. It has potential. We need to focus on accuracy of letters - not speed. **Developer response:** We just redid the app that hopefully addresses your concerns. Please give it another try and let us know how we did. Also note that many of the games have a pause button so that a child will be able to take his or her time, or a teacher or parent can add instruction. ### 5/5 — Perfect *2017-09-20* Perfect for little ones that show signs of dyslexia or letter reversal.
