However, Google, which was also much better before, added AI and now is unbearably frustrating: it no longer knows that it’s looking for an image; it thinks you want it to write an essay. I was delighted when Google Lens was bundled with Apple Photos but that’s not happening anymore so I tried this again. It’s so much fun to hit “search” now and see nothing happen! Even better, Lens should work in Google Photos, and sure, I get results but they won't open. Choose a photo and hit search. Now you are required to select a crop of the photo you want to search for. And then only first five matches are shown, and the rest give no example of the photo. Another example of fixing what isn’t broken in the first place just to justify one’s position. Sad. Developer response thinks app is “healthy”. Actually has gotten more unhealthy recently. Now when try and search visual matches section to get better results, it just takes one to a Google Feedback page. Even sadder now.
