I press the BEGIN button, and nothing happens. Can't use the app at all... Huge pity.

I’m glad to see this app available. I did this exact breathing exercise when I had long Covid and within a few days my sense of smell started to return. After about a week or two I was back to normal! Anyone who suffers from long Covid should get this app. Very easy to use as well.
