Way more hassle than it was ever worth ### 1/5 — Stupid *2025-08-09, version 3.19.3* The reviver license plate is useless. It cost a minimum $35 a year to have a license plate that looks like it was designed in the 1960s. I’m guessing some tech-bros’ son couldn’t get a personalized license plate for his car so his dad decided to make a company that produces binary color, license plates, and gives you a couple of letters at the bottom for customization. Stupid. I was forced to take it by the dealer who said it was non-negotiable. I have been trying for a week and when I finally got a hold of someone, they said they would call me back the next day at 8:30 AM too hard to reset my plate because the Bluetooth is not connecting and it’s not working. And my registration that I already paid for through the app will not go onto the plate. This is so frustrating. I have had the rplate sent 2022. Now I’m starting to regret it. ### 1/5 — Thus Far *2025-04-01, version 3.17.0* Thus far the plate isn’t working. The Bluetooth icon doesn’t pop up while asking for it to be synced to Bluetooth. It just keeps restarting saying R Plate Pro. They’re very very very slow. It took them 2 weeks to send me an invoice. So after DMV gave you new plates , changed your registration document, you still have the old plates! For two days. So what do you do! Not drive. Or remove this thing that was installed by the dealer! It’s ridiculous! They can’t be that busy, 2-3 license plates. KEEP UP! I’ll never get this dumb system again! Even with the 5 year include from the dealership. There is still an anual service to activate with DMV! However Riviver is not managed by competent professionals. I would wait until they develop better customer support. They dont respond to calls or emails. It goes to voicemail. To which I have left countless voicemails and sent countless emails to get this corrected and and never get a response from anyone. I only had one problem after about 3 years, when it would not download my new CA year tag. But they quickly replaced it with a brand new unit, that has worked flawlessly. Wonderful customer service, and followed up. I highly recommend the Reviver plate! ### 5/5 — Not sure what issues others are having… *2026-04-14* I’ve had Reviver since it launched in Ca. Zero issues with connection, updating, registration. I did have an issue with expired registration and had to go through ETags to renew, which required a call to Reviver. My call was answered within 15 minutes and the amazing, knowledgeable staff member had my issue resolved in less than 2 minutes. Haven’t had any issues or problems. Like all the features, especially vehicle registration (no more stickers!). An ePlate is a much more convenient and secure alternative than the decades old metal plates, DMV should consider issuing out ePlates and retiring the antique metal plates. A Reviver ePlate provides security and peace of mind; yes I’ve recommended the Reviver to family, friends, and associates, many of whom have already installed a Reviver ePlate on their vechicles. ### 5/5 — Stay Reviving! *2025-02-27, version 3.16.3* Have had my Rplate for years and it still turns head. Attaching it was no problem, pretty straight forward. Then came the setup, which wasn’t hard but comprehensive. Took picture of the vehicle, uploaded all the registration information and some other stuff. From there they said it would take 1-2 days to activate the plate. On day two, nothing. I called customer services and the guy pushed it through and I was up and running. I had a hiccup (the plate showed the tag being detached from the correct vehicle). But, they fixed that quickly (less than a few minutes). The app is pretty simple, so don’t expect much there. Making changes to the plate is simple, and I submitted several personalized banner messages.
