Sometimes it opens, but most of the time it tells me I’m offline when it works great while at the business. App needs an update or something. ### 2/5 — Great when it works *2024-09-09* We like the system itself, it gives us great peace of mind for home security.. but gotta dock stars because the app has struggled to open for months and is getting worse over time. We went from having zero issues with the app for years to having regular issues with the app over the last 6-8 months. The issues started if you minimized the app, it’d just close and bug out if you tried to reopen it immediately, but getting it to reopen only took a few attempts so it was manageable. Now? You’re lucky if the app opens at all. Pretty much useless in its current state ### 2/5 — Cloud service unreliable as of late *2023-05-08* Been using Revo products for years and have deployed across multiple homes and sites. Great customer service and great value for money. However beware myself + multiple clients are currently experiencing our second multiday app outage due to an issue with their cloud server. When this happens, the app is completely useless and I am unable to view my camera's unless I am on-site and connected directly to the network via wifi. They did not ramp up/open up their customer service team over the weekend, but when I called in this morning they had a message up confirming the outage. There's no other status updates posted anywhere leaving us all in the dark. At this point it is better to buy (UNV) Uniview products which is what Revo is using and rebranding. ### 2/5 — Something is wrong *2023-02-20, version 2.4.1* Worked great a year ago! Last 3-6 months keeps saying “unexpected error”. Even tried rebooting my dvr. Frustrating! ### 1/5 — Dns always down app stopped working *2021-08-25* Revo has so many issues with their dns and now the app stopped working for no reason. Open then closes immediately. If we didn’t have the ultra screen and 16 cameras I would be looking elsewhere. Tried to uninstall the app and reinstalled it. It doesn’t work now ### 2/5 — New update doesn’t work-at all *2021-08-06* My app just updated and now it won’t open at all. It was working fine before. Very frustrating since I use it to monitor my business. ### 1/5 — Newest update is a joke *2020-12-01* The newest update (fall 2020) did not fix any existing issues and instead created new ones. The app does not support iPad's night mode which has been out for years. Video playback from just a single camera in full 4K resolution freezes up now (on a newer iPad). It used to play flawlessly. Buffering camera feeds at app startup now takes almost a minute. Kinda pointless for security cameras, if you ask me. After switching to playback and back to live feed, the camera feed is now in full resolution. Used to remember original resolution. There are a few more but I cannot remember. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with iPad update! *2019-12-17, version 2.0.1* The app crashes, and won’t load my cameras with the newer iPad. I keep getting g an error message about not enough memory. I’ve got over 100 Gig available, so how much memory do I need? Please update and fix the problem. Very inconvenient. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — New update messed up cameras in app *2026-08-01* Not sure what update REVO did but I can’t scroll through my cameras anymore. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Still doesn’t work. We’ve been using this app for eight years with no major issues. Hopefully they can get this fixed. ### 1/5 — Business owner *2026-05-08* At a high level the system and app looks great but if you need reliable live video good luck. The playback is even worse, you may get about 6sec of play back before receiving some sort of error message. I’ve called tech support several times and always get the same line, making it my device as the issue. I’ve bought brand new iPhones and iPads and upgraded my cell plan to the best business plan verzion would proved my business just to prove this out, with no improvement. My employees deserve better, I will be removing REVO from all my sites. ### 1/5 — Remote viewing only works for 1 iPhone *2026-04-14* I set up my whole system for my store. It was pretty straight forward especially since it was my second REVO system. That being said the new upgrade doesn’t work as good as the first version as far as remote viewing. There are 2 owners that want to view the camera system when we cannot be there in person. I had both working when I set it up then one just stopped and would only access while in the building.. we didn’t change anything and yet the system stopped working and I can’t get it back to 2 working remote iPhone users. ### 1/5 — App Won't Work *2025-06-06, version 3.1.0* You can open the app once when you download it and then after that it will no longer work menaing it is useless. ### 1/5 — What a mess *2025-05-24, version 3.1.0* Literally had to return the whole box. Garbage. ### 1/5 — Had for 2 years *2025-05-22* I’ve had nothing but issues with this app and camera system since I got it. First the hard drive was bad so I had to ask for a replacement and then it didn’t work so I had to switch the hard drive and pieces to match the cameras provided. Camera quality is good, nice night time vision. But terrible service. The app never works. The port is always needed to be switched. I couldn’t access my cameras on my app this morning so I deleted the app to reinstall it is now saying my system doesn’t exist. Your support system is a joke, I have been waiting for a response for a week now. I ain’t trying to be mean but my patience has worn out over the past two years of issues! ### 1/5 — App is majorly flawed *2024-09-07* Reopening the app is literally hit or miss. I more than often have to close out all my apps and reset my phone in order to view my camera feed again. As a business owner trying to keep an eye on operations, this is maddening! Please provide an update to fix this ### 1/5 — Useless app full of bugs *2024-06-13* It's a shame because their cameras and NVRs are actually not bad, but this app is just trash. To load a camera you usually get stuck in a never ending "decoding" phase to which you have to close the app, and restart often multiple times to get your live feed. It is not the network connection that is the issue, just an app that is full of bugs. I do a lot of of camera installs for work and because of how useless this app is, I now stay away from this brand totally. If they could ever ever get this app to work decently they would have a pretty good product. I could not understand why it was so difficult to use and not user friendly at all.. the cameras and the system have always been great and reliable but the app and interface for the nvr left a lot to be desired.. this is a huge step in the right direction.. please continue to support this product.. I would feel a lot better about upgrading my cameras if the app and nvr were to continue being supported with updates like this.. ### 5/5 — Top notch *2018-02-03, version 1.3.0* I have been installing REVO systems now for 7 years. The Ultra is the best quality and most reliable system yet. Out of 75+ units installed, I have only had one issue with a defective hard drive. But that is typical with the hard drive market. Called REVO, the shipper a replacement out and had it in two days. As for the other reviewer on here bashing REVO because the app does not work on his phone, this could be because he has a cheap android or out dated Apple phone. NEVER had an issue other the software on anyone’s phones except the really cheap Walmart trak-phones. ### 3/5 — Swipe function removed *2026-08-02* App was always 5 stars. Never had issues with old version. Now with the update, you have removed the swipe function of single camera view. This function should be added back. ### 3/5 — Recent update decreased usability *2021-08-14* Prior to this latest update, I was able to open the app and access a live view of my cameras within a couple of seconds in most cases. After the update, it takes almost up to 60 seconds for any of the live feeds to be viewable. This defeats the purpose of the app for me as I use it to monitor outside when we hear things. ### 3/5 — Works but needs tlc *2021-08-08* After the update I was not able to open app it would immediately shut down/crash. I had to delete app and reload good thing I remembered my password.
