It’s a waste of my time my WIFI is strong and it’s not recognizing it at all. I’ve deleted the account and started over about 4 times. It’s a shame I’m packing it up to go back was going to order several for Christmas ### 1/5 — Annoying *2022-05-14, version 1.5* It was working fine but one day it just randomly logged me out of my account and I can’t control my blanket because I don’t see my password in my password thing for settings and the email already has an account so I can’t make a new one it’s a whole mess and I have no idea what happened this made me so mad ### 1/5 — RETURN immediately *2022-05-04, version 1.5* This app WILL NOT work, you won’t be able to get your Wi-Fi to recognize your product. If you’re not prone to swearing, you will be if you decide to download this app thinking you are the ONE person that will get it to work. If you decide to download this app I would highly recommend getting the kids out of the house and taking a Xanax before you start trying to connect your product. Times out and pops up with error when you try to pair the product. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Dangerous *2024-03-19* I have to guve 1 star in order to leave a review otherwise I wouldn’t even give this 1 star. I had SEVERAL email exchanges with Customer Service about the control not linking up to my wifi and they came to the conclusion that my control box was bad. They said many of the boxes were bad had this problem & to be replaced. My blanket was a gift and I had no receipt so they wouldn’t replace mine. So that I could use it I had to use manually. Problem with that is it gets blazing hot! I feel asleep and it got under my leg & it actually woke me up not because too warm but it blistered my leg! As thinking well that’s my error I should only use while awake and can turn off as it got too hot, you see there is no way to adjust it’s all or nothing. Well today when I went to turn it down the contril box felt very hot I took a closer look and the box had started melting! God forbid if I wasn’t there to turn down before it melted on my couch or caught fire. Stay very far away from this product ### 1/5 — WiFi doesn’t stay connected *2023-12-28* It was a little frustrating to connect to WiFi because the directions are confusing but I got it done. I was able to turn it on from my phone ONE time. After that it says “no internet connection” and I have to reset every time I want to use it. There is no option in the app to attempt to connect again or reset or anything. The app has no options to do ANYTHING. I can manually turn it on but I can’t change any settings because the app or blanket won’t stay connected to internet (yes my phone is connected to my WiFi) ### 1/5 — Useless app *2023-11-13* Setup took 3 minutes and was able to turn on the heated blanket quickly. I found it odd that you can’t control both sides of the blanket at the same time. You have to set the heat setting and time for each side separately. I was still hopeful but the awful rating of this app showed its true colors as soon as I tried to turn the blanket off. As soon as you open app, the product says “No Internet Connection” and the only way to make it work is to delete the product and reinstall it. Each time you want to use the app! As I said, useless. The blanket will turn on without the app, however you can’t control the heating setting or time without the app. So I’m returning the product and thankfully deleting the app. It’s sad that you can’t research these things before buying. RH sleep isn’t listed anywhere on the box of the product. ### 1/5 — THROW THE WHOLE PROCESS AWAY *2023-10-12* Throw it all away. It’s a waste of time, money and effort. The blanket won’t even work without the app and the app won’t even work. The blanket stay on the middle light and can’t be adjusted or switched. The middle light doesn’t even get warm. It’s all just a total waste. I don’t even understand how this blanket is still on any shelf or in any store. The app is trash and so is the thin blanket that leaves white fuzzies all over your clothes and hair. ### 1/5 — So difficult to connect. *2023-03-14* First off having to hold the button WHILE you connect it to the outlet…why? Second it won’t work on a 5G network. So if you’re wondering why it keeps saying it can’t connect after you put in the password, that’s why. Sadly I have to use it one setting and turn it off once I’m sweating. Can’t turn it down since apparently there’s an entire box which could have easily accommodated manual setting. I followed the instructions to a T and I still get an error message connecting to WiFi. My WiFi works just well and it keeps telling me to check my WiFi. My son connected it to my WiFi and it works perfectly. I love it! ### 4/5 — Not user friendly but functional and convenient. *2023-10-25* Bought my blanket at a discount store, determined to make it work. There is little to no instruction in the app but if you’ve connected any “smart” device before you can navigate it no problem. If you run into issues there are step by step instructions from other reviewers. Four starts because the app should give clear instructions and help if needed but five star product and five star convenience. ### 4/5 — READ THIS: Save some frustration Eddie Bauer Throw *2022-12-23, version 1.5.1* This is not the greatest app or blanket as far as connecting capability; it is a very frustrating process if you don’t know how to find the blanket’s wifi. Before you plug in the blanket, go through the process of connecting to your home wifi network, when you plug the blanket/throw in, hold down the power button on the “connection box” once plugged in after 5 seconds release the button and the blue light will begin flashing, when that happens, go into your phone’s wifi settings and the device’s signs address will appear. It cannot connect to a 5ghz network it has to be 2.4 once connected return to the app and complete the set up, when it prompts you to enter your wifi password again, make sure you are connected to your home connection. From there it will connect with the internet and ‘access’ cloud, once that starts loading, you may need to wait a couple minutes before it fully connects. Hopefully this helps; it drove me crazy trying to figure it out. The instructions with the throw are garbage and really miss a lot of the important (okay all of the important) directions for connecting. Good luck! Once it connects it’s actually a pretty decent app/throw. It really is the blanket that makes the app frustrating. ### 3/5 — Babs *2022-01-02, version 1.5* Able to connect device to WiFi but kept saying “connecting to cloud” Otherwise love the blanket but wish I could manually control the temp. ### 3/5 — Try this if you have pairing issues *2021-02-17, version 1.5* I had the same issue as other reviewers with my app getting stuck on the "connecting cloud" animation. I just tapped on the menu/three lines icon in the top left, tapped "Home" and then tried to add my blanket again, and a popup told me I had already added the device and prompted me to name it. It's still a pretty inexcusable bug, but at least I was able to connect and operate my blanket after messing with it a bit. ### 2/5 — Bad *2022-01-28, version 1.5* It took me and my mom an hour to get through half of the login process yesterday I’m still trying to finish logging in it won’t connect to my wife even if it right in front of it. I have the sleep heating blanket they should’ve just made a normal controller in the little boy that would’ve been easier that many unsatisfactory reviews from people who wasted their money on this blanket or whatever they purchased ### 2/5 — Don’t ever reset phone *2021-09-27, version 1.5* First go round I was able to successfully add wifi and connect product with the app. Con is if you are out of town you can’t change settings because you are not on the original wifi. Absolutely stupid. Now new issue, I just got a new phone and now I can’t log in to app at all. Keep getting user pool doesn’t exist. Tried to create a new account same error. So now I can only use the blanket on the last setting before this. Very frustrating to say the least. ### 2/5 — Sort of difficult to understand *2021-09-24, version 1.5* So I bought a “Eddie Bauer wifi” blanket, this was back in I’d say, March. instructions said to download this app, it was alittle difficult to connect but I got it to work and used it when it was cold and put it away over the summer. Now it’s September almost October and I go to the app, I type my info in and it apparently lost my account because it wouldn’t sign me in, I tried to reset my password and it told me “Error: Username/client Id combination not found.” and when I try to make a new account it says “Error: user pool does not exist.” And won’t even let me make a new account, is this app broken???
