I'll use it with my special needs students for sure. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Too Basic *2015-02-25, version 1.0* My 4 year old started playing this and just started matching the pictures before hearing the rhyming words. Although it does not let her put the wrong pictures together, but it also does not tell her the name of the pictures unless she clicks on the picture. This is confusing because she just clicks on the pictures and puts them wherever without hearing the sounds. Once she makes a match, she still hasn’t heard the rhyming words! I think it’s important for them to hear the rhyming words without needing to click on the pictures. Very frustrating!! ### 1/5 — need OS 7 update *2014-03-26, version 1.0* I used to love alligator and grasshopper apps because you could record your own voice. ever since OS 7 that stopped working. repeated attempts to ask them for a fix has resulted in "I'm so sorry try another one of our apps. The voice (which is pleasant and friendly) only names a pictured object when it is touched. My 4-year-old usually will only touch the picture on the left to drag it, so that is the only picture named. When a match is made correctly, the voice-over needs to say the rhyming words together. This omission renders the app useless for teaching rhymes. ### 3/5 — Just an idea *2018-02-25, version 2.0* It would be beneficial if you could hear both correct words said together once a correct match is made. My daughter just places anything together hoping the pieces stay but she's not listening to the words. ### 3/5 — One issue *2012-03-15, version 1.0* So far with all the children I've seen use this app they almost immediately started sliding tiles over and guessing at random without listening to both words. This might be difficult to work but it' s definitely an issue. Eye had to rhyme with fly, but did not work with tie. It would be good if there was a way to add written words after they are matched. ### 4/5 — Nice *2012-03-03, version 1.0* This is a really nice app. I would like to suggest that in your next update you consider changing the rhyming pair "rose"/"clothes" to "rose"/"close" as "clothes" does not rhyme with "rose" when the "th" is pronounced. Great for keeping it a simple rhyming activity and great for more advanced naming skills.
