### 2/5 — Used to love, doesn’t work anymore

I have emailed the developer twice and messaged on Facebook and haven’t heard anything. I’m hoping to get a response! 

I recently switched from an iPad mini to an iPad Pro 11inch M5, and when my Rhythm Cat App transferred over, it stopped working correctly. There is a delay from when you push the button and when it registers that you push the button. The music is not lined up with the count-in, either.

I’m using iPadOS 26.5.2. I did reset the app as well as delete and reinstall it. 

I’m a piano teacher who used to love using this with my students. I’d really like to get it fixed.

if you are making multiple attempts at a level and press restart repeatedly the ui and beat get out of sync and makes it impossible and frustrating to use. loading in these situations needs to be timed properly

My students love these games up through level 2. But there are several games after level 3 that continue to say”try again” despite playing it correctly. It would also be helpful to adjust tempos.  

I doubt if I could fully use this with my students.

iʼ̱ trying to play this game but dont really know what i need to do to “pass” a game. I have figured out that Iʼm supposed to touch the note that will play… it took me a few random tries to figure out that Iʼm supposed to touch and hold on a note if its dotted, half or whole. but i do not kniw wha Iʼm supposed to do with the rests. am i supposed to touch them (to note I saw them and have counted) or am I supposed to NOT touch them and just count. I am on the fourth or fifth melody -and I cannot pass it -and I dont know why. I just keep playing it and trying -but the notes dont show me if Iʼve succeded with any of them or not and no indication that i missed something so dont kniw why Imm not passing this one. its so early in the game Iʼm not sure if theres a probelm with the aop itswlf or if i (with all my 60 years of music) actually dont u derstand rhythm… and if thats true -glad to learn -now -here -but how? if i dont get any feedback that tells me what i need to do to get through this piece.

Everything past level 4 is simply a mess. The screen will not accept beats played correctly and will also not show mistakes like the first three levels.
I downloaded this to help my beginning kids with their sheet music and it was a sad disappointment.
I gave one star for the concept and one star for the cats.

I’ve played piano for years and thought this might help others struggling with rhythm. But it doesn’t record all the keys I hit and keeps making me try again when I absolutely know I did it right the first time! Not helpful.

My six year old son LOVES all the Cat music apps, they’re great for practicing timing and note reading. My only issue is that they don’t offer family sharing. I bought the apps on my phone without realizing I couldn’t share on the device my son uses, so now he can only play on my phone, which is super annoying and rarely happens. Also wish we could access the sheet music or even just the note letters on the rhythm songs - my son wants to play them on the piano.

1をクリアした人用かと思ったが、全然そんなことはなかった。16分音符も登場するがその分スローになっていて、爽快感がない。買って損した。
他の方のレビューでもあるが2行の表示は辞めて欲しい。
収録曲も1の方が好み。

iPad Pro 12”

I’m a music teacher and professional musician, I would love this app to be more accurate with its timing – it doesn’t register the taps accurately, calling up errors time and time again. Please fix and bring up to the standard of your other apps. At present it is unusable.

Note: Your advanced version Rhythm Cat 2 doesn’t suffer from this problem at all.

Auf einem iPad Air installiert bis zum 2. Level gespielt und gescheitert , bei den halben „weiße“ Noten tippe ich zwei mal und es wird nicht akzeptiert, also falsch?

**Developer response:** For the 'half white notes' you need to hold the button for 2 beats (you don't press the button twice) so you need hold down the button for twice as long as for the black note. With the latest versions of the app and iOS installed, this software fails to response correctly to user input; sometimes the app is behind the beat, even when there user input is correct. As a tool for learning rhythm, it is of very little use until this basic functionality works correctly all of the time.

Die Tipperei auf dem Bildschirm wird ganz schlecht angenommen. Da kann man als Profimusiker schon mal im ersten Level versagen. Zumal kann man bewusst Fehler einbauen und App merkt es nicht.

I purchased and have been using James’ suite of apps for music theory training for a few months now. I teach piano to people under 15 years old mostly, and everyone has been responding extremely well to Rhythm Cat. It is now a reward for good work that I’m able to use in class, in addition to being a powerful teaching tool for training young people on how to ready written rhythms. James, thank you so much for these awesome apps!!!

You can tell the developer put their heart into making this app.  It has a very user friendly interface, the music choice is wonderful and it’s a fantastic learning tool.  Im definitely improving my rhythm skills as I’m progressing through the levels and it’s great fun too.
