Rhythm Sight Reading Trainer app does not allow you to review a recent practice exercise unless you save it in favorites. It would be nice to be able to press the left arrow in practice mode, in case you wanted to go back to a Previous exercise.

Improves your accuracy 
Its not easy and you don't want that anyway .  You can make adjustments to see and hear downbeat, accented beat, all beats, metronome only
in other words about everything  

Additionally :superlative service.  I got lost in the weeds and Rolf stayed with it until I was sure I got it.
No developer, in my experience, is this responsive     and patient with a old guy.
Go get it if you want to know if your skills aren't quite what you thought, or just drill 'till you drop.

This thing is the latest miracle in my life. Never progressed far enough in my formal training to get good at reading, always felt like math class. Suddenly I’m in a JC concert band and in deep trouble. This is going to save me. The ability to edit your own rhythms allows to create those 2 measures that eluding you and repeat them until you hear them in your dreams. Thanks so much to developers of this amazing tool!

I played snare drum all through middle and high school.  And that was *cough* years ago and I was good at reading music again but this app has helped me learn a lot of it all over again especially the notes that were always tricky.   I like how there are multiple levels and modifications.

Excellent app with many levels and settings so that it’s a great tool for beginners as well as advanced musicians. Very customizable, every imaginable meter is in there, you can also customize whether to include slurs, rests, etc. Can’t recommend it enough!! The developer shows a real dedication to designing the most comprehensive tool.

I’ve had this less than 5 minutes. It’s perfect. I haven’t read music in a very long time. I want to practice. Now I can. I want to compose in complex time signatures. I can feel what I want to write but have trouble finding the right time signature. I’ve had to use noteflight by trial and error.  Did I mention this is just what I wanted?

It’s now 2022 and much has changed. 
I now have a new device and I have not been using this app. In fact, I had forgotten all about it. That is, until I happened to come across it while I was looking at my Rhyme-zone app. I might just try it out again, since I have just learned that it has been updated all along. I’m actually very surprised about that, but happy to see it. 

Previous Review (a long time ago):
Helpful and fun to use. The little, round, white circle at the bottom is where to go to find out how it works - look under Support for details. I was confused about note values and how to play them on the piano keyboard. This app helps a lot and is user friendly. There are lots of settings, exercises and progress reports. I am enjoying it and I'm glad I purchased it. I am using this app with the iPad 2. Thanks so much for the app!

I like very much this app. It has helped me to develop the rythm, and a stability on the measures, and it has a real impact when playing my instrument.

The interface can be sometimes confusing, but in the end, once you enter in the exercises, is a matter of reading the measures and hear the metronome. 

The charts and the deviation at the end is quite interesting to see the improvement on the stability, but I did not find how to keep the track on the progress through time to see the evolution. Could a profile or a track on the results of the exercises be recorded in the app?

Anyway, thank you for developing this app!

Long time drummer working on my time. I have my iPad connected to a Yamaha DTX multi 12 with camera connection kit and it works great. I didn’t even have to dig into any settings, it just worked. This is an undiscovered gem. Thanks!

L’appli est intéressante et complète, mais il faut s’y mettre sérieusement... et être bon en anglais. Après des tentatives frustrantes où je ne comprenais rien, j’ai fini par admettre qu’il faut s’approprier progressivement l’application, et surtout y passer du temps à chaque fois. Les tutoriels sont corrects (connaître le vocabulaire musical anglophone est indispensable), mais il faut pratiquer et surtout être patient... Le développeur m’a proposé son aide (merci !), mais je vais continuer mon apprentissage sans brûler les étapes. J’ai imprimé les tutos d’ailleurs... c’est plus pratique. Je ne suis pas au bout.

**Developer response:** Nouvelle version de l'application(10.53): Le menu Support a une fonction "Export help documentation" et il exportera des documents supplémentaires sous forme de fichiers PDF. Pourrait être utile à des fins de traduction, par ex. copiez et collez le texte dans un traducteur.

You can benefit from this trainer in a day, but you can work on it for years and still get dividends. Thoughtfully assembled. Endlessly varied. There are so many options for unique challenges, you can start the massive book a second or third time with a different focus, and benefit all over again. Frequently updated and improved. Once I had a glitch with a new phone, the developer found a way to fix my problem in a day. Love this app!

I like your App, but please make bigger tapping spot.  Too often miss tapping with two fingers alternately. 
Please add an option to change the size of tapping spot.

**Developer response:** To tap with alternating fingers, use two tap buttons. This option can be found in the Tapping menu of settings. Hope this helps otherwise send us a mail via the Support menu in the app (we cannot contact reviewers).

I was slowing my piano playing progress by having poor rhythm skills, or less than fluid recognition.  Love this app worth every penny of the low price. A lot of features.  Even if you think you are good with rhythm this App will help spot areas for refinement.

Hi - why are time signatures only in even?  Am I missing something or is the app really so limited?

**Developer response:** The app supports several odd time signatures, including: 5/4, 5/8, 6/4, 7/4, and 7/8. Additionally, different subdivisions are available for these odd time signatures, such as 2 + 3 and 3 + 2 for 5/4, 5/8 and 3 + 4 and 4 + 3 for 7/4, 7/8.

The complete list of supported time signatures includes:
2/2, 3/2, 4/2, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 3/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, and 12/8.

Please explore both the fixed exercises and random levels to experience all of these time signatures. We hope this information helps you.

А по факту 389. Зачем так делать ? Не понятно, музыканты и так бедные люди, так ещё и время нужно тратить чтобы сделать возврат средств. Хорошо что Apple всегда возвращает их, хоть и не сразу. Так что вы лишили меня 389 рублей на 4-6 дней. Спасибо, и досвидания.

The App store is completely handled by Apple. A developer cannot do anything about this. The price should indeed be 229 Rubles. Updates are free! Did they really charge you 389? What do you mean with 4-6 days? Has it been charged multiple times? Again, all this is beyond the control of a developer. Please contact Apple about this. Hope everything will be settled in a satisfactory way for you.

I use a lot of music apps. I have been a musician for decades and although this app is modestly priced, it is virtually unusable. There are very limited customisation options - for example to quieten that damn metronome! Paid for it and deleted it within 20 minutes. Very bad.

This app is great and does exactly what I’d hoped for, but the constant back and forth between settings is ludicrously laborious and tedious. I’ve bought the app but simply can’t bring myself to use it any longer. Please, please address the navigational features and get the simple functionality in place.

**Developer response:** For normal usage there is no need to switch back and forth between settings. However, to quickly change an option in Settings (e.g. switch the microphone on/off after each exercise), there is a Recents function to save taps and menu searches. This is a list of recently used Settings menus which is maintained automatically. This list can be reached from the navigation bar in Settings (tap Recents).  This functionality is described in the Help for new users document.  Hope this will help you, otherwise please let me know.

バージョンアップしてからカウントダウンの不安定さもほぼなくなりました
1/100秒単位の微調整もしてくれてランダムリズム育成モードや特殊な連符もカバーしてきてやりがいが出てきました。
特にランダムリズム育成モードはイイ！
マーチングスネアの音は多分実装されないでしょうけど＾＾；
他の要望としてスタート方法がメトロノームの振り子を動かしてスタートさせるとテンポ調整の方が反応してしまう時があるのでタップでスタートさせることが出来ればGOODです。

初期バージョンレビュー：
カウントダウンのメトロノームの最初の2拍が特に安定していないです。

プレイ中も実際の音より0.02秒早いつもりでやらないとトータルのずれている秒数の判定が縮まりませんでした。
ずらしてタップしてるのでメトロノームとタップの音がズレててちょっと気持ち悪いことに・・・
これでもマーチングバンドのスネア経験が長いのでリズム感というかタイミング感は優れていると思ってます

あと出題の譜面が簡単過ぎて物足りないかと思います。初見で一発でWell done!ばかり・・・3拍4連とかもあってもよかったかも。
音符の書き方も何か変な書き方もあったりしました。

メトロノームがズレててマイナス1
譜面が充実していないのでマイナス1
個人的にスネアの音も欲しかったのでマイナス1

vor 4 wochen "erst" entdeckt, und schon ist es Teil meines Alltags. noch habe ich sicher nicht alle Tiefen der features entdeckt - aber jetzt schon ein Potpourri an Möglichkeiten , mit direktem Feedback, mein Timing zu üben. 
Beim Benutzen fallen mir tatsächlich noch ein paar nice-to-haves ein, ab erstens habe ich sie vielleicht noch nicht entdeckt oder zweitens: man braucht auch nicht immer 110%.  ich bin mit den 100%***** total zufrieden. Danke.

Words do not describe how thankful I am for this app. I’ve struggled a lot with sight reading, especially rhythms, and practicing through this app has been insanely helpful in strengthening this skill. It functions incredibly well and has so many features. The only thing I hope will be added in the future is a way to practice on headphones, but I understand if that’s difficult due to the inherent delay when using headphones. Regardless, this app is a literal dream!!! I’ve been using it for many years now and can attest that it is absolutely worth it.

Regarding the headphone delay, you can avoid that issue by using wired headphones—many users have had success with Apple’s wired EarPods. Because they don’t introduce the same latency as wireless options, the app will recognize them and deliver a seamless experience.

I love this app. I suggest it for all my piano students. I use it to practice rhythms for myself too.
I love that you can use challenge mode to increase tempos.
Just one suggestion. Make the tapping pad a little bigger. Sometimes I’d like to use two fingers, and it’s almost impossible because of the size if the pad.

Experienced musicians can see a rhythmically complex piece of music and just tap it out without much trouble before playing it. Me? I’m not in that group. I need to go over a piece many times before I can play it. I reduce the time I need between first seeing the music and finally playing the notes by practicing with Read Rhythm. I enter the notes into the editor and practice until the rhythm is familiar to me. I have a habit of being a little ahead of the beat in my playing, and can work on that in the app, since it tells you if you are ahead, on, or behind the beat. When I’m done working on a section, I email the results to my music teacher, so we can go over it in lesson. In all, this is a great app for perfecting your rhythm, either through random exercises or by creating your own. 

I should also add that I had a question at one point about the editor, and the developer answered me very promptly to tell me what I was doing wrong. Not many apps have that kind of service, and I was very glad for the help.
