I especially the fact that you can change the temperament. I'd like to see a stack of 1-3 vertical sliders on your choice of left or right, color settings, and the ability to assign anything to a slider or Y. A second keyboard above with it's own settings incl. height and pitch offset would be great too. My only complaint is that notes begin on standard pitches even with 0 snap set. Even better than the positive/neg slider would be separate pos/neg amt-amt sliders each with their own y-axis center, or just freehand a vertical levels wave for each parameter. This would truly single out Ribbons as the most expressive live controller possible (unless you want to add four y-level assignments, for each ADSR phase). That would be the ultimate control this app is heading towards. I must say it is amazing value for money and the sounds are extremely powerful. This can only get better no doubt, so LONG as the ability to use on existing platforms remains and we don't have to keep buying update equipment just to continue using it. I give this 10/10 for its depth and creativity. Nobody here knows my cinematography status, so take this as a neutral view. Consequently it all sounds a bit one-dimensional. Ribbon can control your other synths via midi and then it comes to life because other ios synths tend to be stereo. ### 4/5 — Rather lovely *2014-10-28* I really like music apps that properly embrace the touchscreen functionality and Ondes certainly does that. It comes with a nice list of factory presets and lots of space to create your own with plenty of variable parameters. The sounds are crisp and deep. And there's polyphony which other Ondes/Theremin emulators just don't have.
