## What is RiceCal?

RiceCal is a calorie diary for Asian food.

Most calorie apps were built around Western plates, so nasi lemak comes back as "rice, mixed" and char kuey teow is anybody's guess. RiceCal knows these dishes by name, in the portions they are actually served in, from the hawker stall to your own kitchen.

FIVE WAYS TO LOG A MEAL
Snap a plate and every dish on it is named, sized and counted. Or type it the way you would say it out loud: "nasi lemak with fried chicken and a teh tarik." Scan a barcode and it reads the label, from 3.25 million packaged products. Search 53,000 Asian dishes, from hawker stalls to chains to home cooking. Or save a recipe once and log it in a tap from then on.

YOUR DAY IN ONE RING
What is left to eat, with carbs, protein and fat right beside it. Water and weight too. Your budget is worked out from your body and your goal, and it keeps itself up to date.

MOVEMENT ADDS, IT NEVER TAKES AWAY
Connect Apple Health or Health Connect and what you burn is added to what you can eat. It is never subtracted from it.

TRENDS AND REVIEWS
Seven days, thirty days or a year, across calories, water and weight. A finished week comes back as a few cards you can read in a minute and share if you want to.

WRITTEN TO BE KIND
A day over budget gets "a bit over today, tomorrow is a new count." Never a telling off.
