Once ### 3/5 — they were at McDonalds and made me late!! *2025-10-16* i was wondering why they were the same amount of time away from me for more than 5 minutes and then i go to check the location of the driver who is picking me up and they were at mc donald’s… i didnt believe they actually were at first but when i got in the car there was mc donald’s in the front seat. this happened to me 2 times after this and almost made me late 2/3 times. other times it’s good tho the only thing is the wait time but that is understandable considering it’s free for high school students and seniors ### 3/5 — Good service but would be way more useful with wider coverage area *2022-07-30, version 4.2* This is a good service and a good alternative that bridges the gap between buses and other rideshare services however, it doesn’t even cover all of Richmond let alone going to many popular places like El Cerrito Plaza for example. Richmond Moves provides safe, convenient transportation in Richmond. Just took a trip to BART and saved me 20 minutes from having to wait for a bus. The service also goes to El Cerrito Del Norte BART if you need to connect to regional transit like Vallejo or Napa buses. The only change I see is later operating hours (the service stops at 7 pm). ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — God awful *2026-01-15* they take forever to show up and a lot of the times they will just cancel your ride and switch it to another driver and the other driver might just switch you to another driver so they tell you they’re gonna be waiting maybe 10 to 20 minutes and then all of a sudden it takes an hour for you to get a ride ### 1/5 — Delete this app *2025-12-06* This app is so helpful but the people are not the drivers drive recklessly and will leave you if your are not out in one minute when it should be 5 and the next ride takes 25-40 minutes to come!? It even gives me a 10 minute warning, but both times I’ve called the driver and they have no record of receiving a ride request. I have no idea what the 10 minute warning is based on because the ride hasn’t moved on the map. This is literally it’s only function and I can’t trust that I have a ride. I won’t be using this again until it’s fixed. ### 2/5 — If you have time to kill, this service is OK *2026-01-28* It takes a very long time for the driver to arrive and usually longer than the app states. If you have time to kill and have nothing else to do and just need a ride, this app may be OK. It would be better if it wasn’t free for high school students though because they abuse it so actual paying customers can hardly get a ride without a really long wait. ### 2/5 — Complicated bookings *2024-03-06* Richmond moves is a wonderful idea and fantastic program but there is a need improvement. The app itself and the workers on call are super confusing and/or frustrating. The calls are prolonged by readdressing information, spelling, etc... Of course it will take longer than the app but it shouldn’t take too long for something that takes one second. The annoying part is when they ask you whether you have the app or not which is unnecessarily, I wouldn’t be calling if the app is available. Moving onto the app itself it’s direct and easier to work with rather than calling people. The catch is it’s not easy to keep up with. When you book a ride everything you need to know - drivers/ car info time and pickup. There has been numerous amounts of times that I booked a street(an exact corner) and the app picks a different location. What’s the point of filling out location if you’re going to use a different one. Last but not least the app can be laggy.
