Totally agree with “Kodge 1”. This app is slow and does not allow widescreen. I downloaded it as Ricoh said they were not supporting the previous one anymore. I have deleted RICOH360 as it is a step backwards, I will continue to use the old THETA app.

リコーって会社って元々好きではなかったが、360度のカメラが出て来たので買ってみた。このアプリで更に嫌なった。あーやっぱりねって感じ。新しいシータ出ようが、リコーの新商品見ようが、ユーザーを簡単に切り捨てるこんな会社なんか、これから見向きもしないのは間違ない。正直、こうなるの分かっていたら他社製を買っていたし、リコーなんか買わなくて良かった。リコーなんか大嫌い。ダメダメじゃん。

Tried this new app from Ricoh, did not work with two different cameras. Also try it on iPhone as well as Android. In both instances, it absolutely would not find the camera and connect.

The old app is no longer supported. With this new app you can’t view 360 pictures on your phone. You have to connect to the camera. That feature has been “coming soon” for 8 months.

なんか会社名聞いてくるし、何したいのか全くわからん。
この会社は市場動向やユーザビリティ考えずにシステム担当がPCの中で計画してるだろと毎度思う。

The previous app allowed users to view images horizontally and then manipulate images into great spherical images. That was  key feature for me. The new app simply does not allow you to do this. I have tried to contact Ricoh support  which unfortunately can only be done online. They tell me this functionality does work but they appear unable to tell me how. This new app is useless compared to the previous app. I would really like to be proven wrong so I can update this review to say it does work as intended…but the wait goes on!

アプリ内で写真を消したいのですが、複数枚選択するとエラーが出て削除できなくなります。
その後はシータの接続がしばらくできなくなります。
もう少しどうにかしてほしいです。

・別のカメラに接続し直せない
・ほんと全く繋がらない
・50%の確率でパスワード求められるけど設定したことない
・一度デバイスに入れないと見れない消せないのなぜ？

とにかく改善点だらけなので事業続けるなら改善してください。

THETAアプリ起動時にRICOH360に変更せよ　と表示されたため、インストールしてみました。

ローカルデバイス内の写真の表示ができないので、使い物にならないです。
また、起動時に操作が可能になるまで、2分近くかかります。

これで使い物になると誰が判断してリリースしたのでしょうかね。

This Ricoh 360 app make your Theta camera obsolete if you care about privacy of your data. To now use your camera you must create an account and agree to both a privacy policy and terms of service. The prior Theta app respected basic privacy and did not require an account or the review of two legal agreements.

ストアページにも明記されていますが、SCは非対応です。このアプリでも接続はできますが、撮影画面に遷移するとブラックアウトし、数秒で戻されます。
現在対応している無印のTHETAアプリは起動毎に保守終了のお知らせが表示され、次回以降非表示のオプションがありません。
メーカーとしてはあまり長く使われても困るので買い替えを促したいのでしょうが、すこし残念です。
学生が限られた予算内で、中古で型落ちを買って使おうとするケースもあるので、ハード的に対応可能である限りは使えるようにしていただきたいですね。残念でした。

By requiring a log-in to use the app, you’ve made the software unusable when in the field without internet. And, like other legacy users, my THETA account is linked to my Apple ID. The RICOH360 app does not support this; so i cannot use my existing account. The original THETA app does support that login method (indeed, it initialized the account).

Force us to switch to a new app only to extract personal and business information is scummy! You don’t need my email, business name, departments and phone number to sell a product.  I’ll never buy anything Ricoh ever again. Spend your development budget on innovative new camera products instead.

iPadにダウンロードしました。最初に幾つかの個人情報を入力させられ、少しウザかったですが、THETA Vとの接続は出来ました。その後、撮影も問題ありませんでしたが、アプリで撮影したデータを閲覧しようとしても「画像データがありません」と画像の確認が出来ませんでした。今まで使っていた「THETA」アプリにて本体に保存されているデータを確認・ダウンロードして事なきを得ました。

This app is all around a downgrade from the old Ricoh Theta app. It requires you to sign up with an email and phone number and provide ambient location data (you cannot simply toggle it when you need to do a transfer). To top it off,
the app artificially restricts transfers of raw (DNG) files. You have to physically plug into a computer with a cable to extract these files.

App does not work at all.  It makes having the theta camera worthless.  I could not be more frustrated with how bad it is.  It struggles to connect.  It is incredibly slow and fails to do what it is trying to do 95% of the time.  It is seemingly impossible to successfully get photos from the device saved to the app or uploaded to the cloud.  I should have never trusted Ricoh as a way to document anything important.

SC2です。
繋がる時もあるけど繋がらない時もある安定性の無さが1番の問題。都度　設定を確かめたりパスワードを入れたりするけど繋がらないときは何やっても繋がらない。

以前のアプリの方がまだ安定して繋がってた。
手動で撮影はできるけどクラウドに上げられない、スマホのアプリで見れない、結局使い物にならない。
旧アプリで撮影したものをこのアプリで呼び出せればまだ使いようもあるけど…

insta360evo もそうだけど　ハードが面白い発想でもソフトが連動しなければ

I have Theta that seems to have fallen off the radar. Disappointing that there is no longer an app to connect to it. Even an old app is better than none. Camera is difficult to use now. Even being a Ricoh employee won’t help this problem!

**Developer response:** We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, the new RICOH360 app, which only supports newer models (THETA Z1, X, V, SC2).

You can still use your camera with the legacy “RICOH THETA” mobile app, which remains available on the app stores, although it is no longer updated. We recommend making sure your camera firmware is up to date and that your smartphone is compatible with this version of the app.

I’m a VFX supervisor that uses the Z1 as my backup HDRI camera and this app is a major upgrade to the old version. The AE Bracket feature is exactly what I’ve been looking g for and have had to use plug ins on the camera to use before this. The plug ins still work and can be run via the app but now I don’t think I need them! Full manual control for a 9 bracket HDRI and I get to choose the number of stops between exposures is a dream come true. This is so fast and I can get multiple HDRIs and take up no time on set. THANK YOU RICOH!!!!

細かいところがわかりやすくなっていて、完璧とは言えないまでもかなり使いやすくなりました。
うまく使えなくて困っていた親のために、手製のマニュアルを書き起こして渡していましたが、仕様が変わってマニュアルなしで理解できるようになり、LINEで日々撮影したものの共有リンクが送られてくるようになりました。ありがとうございます。

特に下メニュー「THETA」部分の挙動がおかしい。
接続のためにパスワード入力を何度も繰り返し求められる、しかも接続できていないのではなく、諦めて戻ると接続できている。その画面の「撮影ボタン」も死んでいる。

UIがひどい。とてもじゃないが直感的に使えるデザインじゃない。
THETA、デバイス、クラウドの違いがわかりにくい。見た目が全部同じなのでとにかく混乱する。上にも下にもTHETAメニューあるし、シンプルにすりゃいいってもんじゃない。
THETAからデバイス（これもわかりにくい）、デバイスからクラウドにもっていかないとビューワーで見れる状態で共有できないのもわかりにくい。
選ぶ写真が一枚じゃないとリンクを共有の表示が出ない。「選択」あたりの表示も難しい。「選択」を押したらそこに「全選択」が出てくるから、押しそうになるし。選択状態を解除するボタンも見つけづらい。
そのあとのクリップボードにコピー表示もささやかで言葉も固くわかりにくい。「コピーしました」じゃなくて「共有メニュー」での共有にできないのか？

初代THETAから何台も使って、ウキウキで最新機種を買ったものの使い方がぜんぜんわからんから教えてとしょんぼり親に相談される子の気持ちも考えてほしい。

更新で、theta z1のAEブラケット機能が実装され、ようやくちゃんと使えるようになりました。
AEブラケット機能に関しては、旧アプリ版よりも使いやすく、だいぶ改善されたかと思います。
また、屋外での使用は違法にはなりますが、5G帯への対応もされたことで、撮影時に接続が切れることも少なくなった気がします。
もろもろ不満がないわけではありませんが、それほど多くないであろう開発リソースを割り当ててくれたことに感謝したいと思います。

the first version of RICOH THETA was barely functional and not worth two stars AND it was missing LIVE VIEW while recording!!  RIDICULOUS!! plus span and extra-wide didn't even work!!  i can see from the one review that nothing has changed in this version.  what an INSULT to a customer that pays $300 or more for their camera!  RICOH should be ASHAMED of the poor quality and gross lack of functionality in these apps!!  there are FAR BETTER apps for $30, $40, $50, $60, $70, $80, $90, $100 cameras and more!!  NO WONDER THERE ARE SO MANY 3RD PARTY APPS. JUNK.

廃止予定のアプリ「theta」では、天球画像がカメラロールへ保存されて、そこから、バックアップやらFaceBookなりLINEへの投稿出来たのだが、本アプリはそれができない。

一度、クラウド「ricoh360.com」へアップロードした物をカメラロールへダウンロードした後 FaceBook へ投稿すると正距円筒図法のまま表示される(exif などのメタ情報が失われる？)。

廃止予定の「theta」からのデータ移行方法や FaceBook への投稿方法を明記してほしい。
