The cylinder lock has dreadful controls that even if you work out a strategy, it’s fairly pointless as the controls are useless. Turning one tumbler will swivel everything and then it becomes poke and hope because there is no screen control. So it’s at that point I leave the game unfinished because there is no option to go forward. For example the magnetic ball in chapter 3, I cannot move any of the pieces onto their spots no matter what I do, once in a while a piece will move but not where it was supposed to be and then the puzzle freezes again. You’ll have an idea of what to do but will probably only get there through luck. Controls are so touchy that even when you’re doing the right thing it will take several tries. The hints are useless. A shame, because the graphics and the premise are solid. For the developers: offer a bypass feature for at least some of the puzzles. The Rubik's cube is a perfect example. Challenging to begin with and made even tougher by the crummy controls. But it’s so unintuitive. I only got just past the paywall and it’s anyone’s guess what the next puzzle is asking for. You wait 2 or 3 minutes for the next hint to unlock, and it tells you what you already know. Then you wait again, and it tells you something cryptic and unhelpful. I’ve yet to enjoy my time playing. I’m a big fan of The Room and House of Da Vinci series and rarely needed hints on those. But now I’m stuck unless I go to a walkthrough. No real story to speak of either. I have tried probably 50 times to play this game over the years and probably 15 to 20 possible combination each time but since I can’t rationalize where any point in the puzzle is I can’t figure out where to start. I would love to know how the game ends but I can’t get past this puzzle. I am just a short way into this game and am stuck on the Rubic Cube puzzle. I am not good at these at the best of times and the hints given are of no help. A diagram is given in the 3rd clue but there is no way to reset the puzzle to be able to follow it (and one of the move symbols is baffling). The developer’s website is non-existent so no help there.
