And literally everything is coordinated through WhatsApp. I was able to set up my account easily enough. But when it came to actually booking a driver, there was never any confirmation and, absent confirmation on an important drive, I used one of my personal on-island contacts to recommend and connect me with somebody through WhatsApp and booked that driver. I tried to cancel the ride that I booked through this app, multiple times and hours in advance, but it errored out every time. There was no further support offered in the app. To my surprise, I received a call on WhatsApp from a driver at the appointed time, although that there was never any confirmation in the app of a driver being assigned. If I had not kept a screenshot of the errors I’d received when trying to cancel. I might’ve been charged for a drive I no longer needed. This app is not ready for primetime. And it is most certainly not Uber. ### 1/5 — App seems unfinished *2023-05-17* It gladly recorded my CC, but couldn’t actually order a taxi. Waiting for the company to call me back and then maybe I will update … It used to work great in 2018 . ### 3/5 — Unable to update to latest version *2021-02-03* I have followed all instructions when the app is open called Bermuda Taxi and I do not see anywhere to update to the latest version. ### 1/5 — What a joke *2019-06-18, version 11.0.0* Good luck getting a taxi using this app. Unlike Uber you can’t follow the progress of your ride. You get an email telling you your taxi will arrive at a specified time but they don’t show up. FYI can’t get them to pick up the phone either. Horrible service. ### 1/5 — Third World Taxi *2018-07-27, version 11.0.0* What a disaster this company is. Spent a week on this amazing island and the taxi company is the only blight. Unreliable, expensive and unpredictable.
