No signage when certain trolley stops are closed, QR code doesn’t work to bring up the app and the app in inoperable. First, the app requires me to have my location on. Why? Im at the bus stop, that’s where I am. Once location is on, the app shows me where I am but not where the bus is. That’s what I need this to do, show me where the shuttle to the airport is. Is there an icon I’m not familiar with that shows me where the shuttle is? I see the stops, which I don’t care and the rout, which I also don’t care….it’s a shuttle, there is point A and point B. What is the rout for if I cannot see the bus in relationship to it? I can get a rout map and stop locator anywhere and I wouldn’t have to give away private info to get it. Waited for over an hour *2024-01-08* Waited for over an hour for a shuttle that never came. I ended up ordering a Lyft. There were 4 buses on route and the app said 8 mins away for 30 mins. I was hearing the bus drivers had to take a break but they should stagger or have a set schedule so people can anticipate that and make their flights on time. Overall this Ride Systems app is beyond horrible. ### 1/5 — Don’t expect accuracy *2023-10-18, version 4.3.4* The app works entirely off the schedule, not where the shuttle actually is. It just said the shuttle departed my stop when it’s across the city on the map (and very much not at this stop). This app provides no real benefit over just having a link to the schedule. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-10-09, version 4.3.4* Don’t waste your time unless you need to know where the stops are. It won’t tell you when the shuttles are arriving. If it shows a time, it’s not correct. The app worked two years ago but not anymore. ### 2/5 — Tracking of busses is a joke *2023-09-06, version 4.3.4* It’s the only app if seen where the busses can go through buildings and then transport from one side of the city to the other instantly! Why not use some decent tracking technology like put an Apple tag on each bus. Happy to have it back and operational After roughly 3 years of working pretty well the app no longer works for myself or anyone else using it at George Mason University. Back at the start of fall semester this school year, app would show me the routes the school shuttles take, but wouldn’t actually show me where the shuttle was at the time. About halfway through the fall semester, the app literally just stopped working and every time I try to open it, it gets stuck on this endless loading loop that never ends. So frustrating because I never know when the shuttles going to show up. Its interface is not communicative at all, and I had an impossible time trying to find my first ever bus ride. I knew that wanted to get to a Walmart in the area, which my friend said was possible with these busses. But my only options for navigating the menus was clicking on the routes, rather than the bus stations themselves or the location I want to go to. This only helps if you somehow already know all the routes and where they go. Just ask another student where the bus stations are.
