I’ve had to call in a request and yet still didn’t get the ride. I’ll still give it five stars to show my support for the drivers and the mission. ### 4/5 — Avoid Surge Pricing While Supporting Union Cabbies *2023-12-29* This app is a good start and I hope it encourages people to use union cabs in San Diego instead of Lyft or Uber. However, it still needs work before it gets there because it feels more like a basic dispatcher instead of a full on Lyft replacement. I didn’t get an estimate for my ride and I didn’t get to pay in the app. When I hailed a ride at 11pm, it failed to find a driver on my first try. A driver was found on my second try, but the app doesn’t provide an assurance that it’ll keep searching for a rider when I switch to another app while I wait. What I like about Lyft is it shows a progress widget on the Lock Screen (or Dynamic Island), would like this app to do the same. It was confusing when I was providing the destination or pickup location. Didn’t know which one I was entering and I ended up providing a route from my house to my house. It also was tedious to input a specific address. Would rather the app to look up businesses and my contacts.
