I have an iPhone 6s and the first screen I see is to enter my nickname. The keyboard covers the field, then I can't scroll, hitting enter does nothing and if I tap the main screen it lowers the background hiding everything of relevance. Great app. Thanks for wasting ten minutes of my time. ### 1/5 — Can't use *2018-03-09, version 1.1* I am unable to even use the app. I put in nickname but the Enter key on the keyboard doesn't trigger the Continue button. When I click the logo or elsewhere on the screen to try and make the keyboard disappear, it shifts the app halfway down the screen as if you hit the home button for a preview. The only thing to do after that is close it. I mean, I don’t have Sena, anything and let me say that wow..Don’t you see they don’t want to hear your long song playlists just what is conveyed.. live… It’s like those helmets used by those that are like a go-go-gadget messages either by self or by long distance at a time really.. plus I’m sure the fit is with proper visual internally ,externally just a spec really.. y'all I’m serious. It’s like you’re not just tossing it’s always good to have extra head gear for guests that’s so kind of y’all .. look so close get so close sift sniff like Scoobie -Doo toss them like a bad egg salad .. But it needs work. First of all, the APP should work in the background, or with the phone screen locked. This will save power and not put the rider at risk. Second if you create a group you should be able save the group, choose a number and save it. This would allow the users to set a group in advance and connection would be easier. You won’t have to call the other riders in advance. The APP should also allow users to use their phone mic and speakers, this would help our pace car, crew pit connect with us. Oh wait, you can already do it with Skype and FaceTime. Love the SENA products, but your app developers need to get with the current times. Looking forward for the next app update. ### 1/5 — Cannot download *2019-10-30, version 1.1* I previously downloaded this app and after updating the firmware on my 20S I cannot download the app. ### 1/5 — Can't even login *2019-07-24, version 1.1* Upon opening the app, the first and only screen asks me to CONFIRM a nickname (no other option available to move forward). Every keyboard I try will cover the screen during entry, which is frustrating, but I figure that I can enter it and then look once I'm done. NOPE. Hitting the Return key does nothing. When I click off the keyboard, the entire splash screen slides down and will not allow me to even see the "confirm" button, much less press it. No clue what the capabilities of this app are because I cannot open the darn thing. ### 1/5 — Needs work *2019-07-13, version 1.1* The idea of this app is great. It’s really buggy, which I can deal with, but one big problem. Just putting the app in the background without closing does not allow any audio between riders. That makes it unusable for me. Few features work, and the ones that do break frequently. On the flip-side, this app is equally bad as the other Sena apps. ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Worked great *2019-01-13, version 1.1* I fly powered paraglider sand the ride connected app is the answer for our coms. This app works perfectly. Today 4 of us ranging from 9 miles away tested it out. All 4 of us were able to join the group and it was clear as a bell. This was done using a sena 30s, 20s, a newer 10s and the older 10hr. It was so simple to connect and it worked flawlessly ### 4/5 — App works much better but needs work! Runs in Background now! Please fix bugs *2022-07-08, version 1.1* Our group of 7 Paramotor Pilots all use Mesh+ with Sena 30k and Sena 50s radios in our helmets. Mesh is spotty without being right next to each other, but on rare occasion it will work much further at times if you hold your head just right. Yesterday, we all re-tried the RideConnected App from each of our homes and were surprised how well the app and service worked! The Senas did a great job filtering out engine noise as we started and ran our engines, as well as one was on a loud lawn mower. You could hear the engines for a moment, but they quickly went away and would cut out of the background. Also found we had to turn the Mic gain in the app down to the first tick mark to reduce the engine noise, but all the way down muted the Mic and should not in our opinion. Having the Sena control the iPhone volume was nice too, but it did crash my app a few times and I had to restart the app and reconnect to the group. For a moment, everyone saw two icons for my connection until the 1st one dropped off. This happened on my iPhone 13 Pro 3 times but no one else saw this. Love the fact that it runs in the background now and still works. Hardly any latency too! The 30k users did have a problem with their units beeping like they were trying to join a Mesh group and found that when they got out of the app, the beeping stopped. Seems to be a bug there with the latest Sena 30k firmware. My 50s did not have this issue. Would be nice to see an update from Sena on the app since it has been so long since version 1.1! Unfortunately for Sena I think, most bad reviews came from version 1.0. Maybe they are planning to fold this functionality in the new Sena Motorcycles app that is combining all the Utility apps into one? They need to rename that app to Sena Utilities since more than motorcycles use them. Hope this keeps working going forward. ### 3/5 — Low expectations but it actually works. *2023-02-19* Having lived with Sena products for the past three years I was pleasantly surprised this this app actually works. Rather than spending an hour trying to get a group intercom connected, now it only takes five minutes. Way to go Sena! I do notice a periodic beep about every five seconds, which is annoying, which is would you would expect from Sena, but I’ll live with it because it saves me 55 minutes every group ride. Image how nice these products could if Sena had any idea what they were doing. ### 3/5 — Expand your group *2020-04-11, version 1.1* For those with older/lower level devices this will get you past the 4 device limit. The only issue is that the app needs to stay on (the phone can’t go to sleep) otherwise it stops working until you turn your phone back on. Would be nice if it continued to work in the background. ### 3/5 — []WORKAROUND for inability to get past initial login screen! *2019-09-02, version 1.1* Yup, it's true! With the current version of this App (as of 9/1/19), when you initially start the App, you're asked to create a Nickname. However the keyboard covers the text entry field, and when you tap away from the keyboard, the App will slump halfway down the screen, hiding the 'Confirm' button! This is obviously very unfortunate, yet easy to get around. WORKAROUND: Simply restart the App, use the keyboard to type in your Nickname (even though you can't see what you're typing, so type carefully), then switch to a different App! When you switch back to this App, the 'Confirm' button will be visible! Press it QUICKLY, otherwise it may slump down again! Then you'll enter the App proper! Hope this helps! ### 3/5 — Good app but needs work *2019-05-24, version 1.1* Works great at a distance for the pack of bikes. Especially when we all have different brands of Bluetooth headsets. But the app itself seems to be “not connecting to server” for some time now... disappointing ### 3/5 — Good app at best. *2017-10-02, version 1.1* I like there app and the sound. However, adjusting the audio differences between music and the chats doesn’t work. If you could adjust the two for your own Comfort would be good. The servers need work, as often times it will kick my friend with a bilt techno 2.0. Lastly, it. It’s my music off when I switch to the app, so I cannot multitask. However, usually we have at least 3 people using it at a time and the only issue is lag.
