Completely worthless. ### 1/5 — This app works half the time *2020-02-18, version 3.0.1* It’s always fetching data and gets stuck on launching The UX is subpar and confusing. It should tell users where the bus is automatically versus current workflow today. I have launch app, select time and then it updates where the bus is - it should automatically tell me where the bus is and eta to my stop ### 1/5 — What is this?! *2019-07-19, version 3.0.1* useless, annoying app. I can’t understand its function. I open the app, select my company route, and it shows the route outlined on a map. okay. It’s 5pm, the map shows my gps location and a box with 1:15 loop on it. Below it a box says 1:07 - 1:40pm ??? What does this even mean??? Where is bus? When does it arrive? Here is my expectation, I open the app, the gps finds my location and says the next bus will arrive at your location in 5 minutes. If you want to get really ambitious an actual bus icon or arrow and it’s location on the route would also be nice. ### 1/5 — Please Improve UI/UX *2019-07-16, version 3.0.1* Difficult to find route due to small scroll window. Difficult to track bus due to selection process. Would be nice to see active bus on map and click to see route & bus stop times. Have to know the route and time of previous to find bus I’m waiting for. (IE for a 5:01 pick up I have to find the route and time of 4:38-5:01). Only allows a handful of “favorite” routes and times. It appears I have starred multiple but I guess not as only a few display in my favorites. Cannot carry the pass. This is mind-boggling. Shows all routes in area that I don’t need. Can’t it show routes specific to a company? App starts up with loading screen that says “image a better commute” and trust me, I do everyday when I have to use this thing for “accurate” information. ### 1/5 — Wack *2019-06-05, version 3.0.1* This app is straight up junk. Poorly designed and not in anyway associated with changes made on the website. Please hire a new web app dev team and find someone who knows what they’re doing. ### 1/5 — Not solving anything *2018-10-04, version 3.0.1* Where should I start, the app is poorly designed and looks like a bad web app, the features are not very useful, I wish that at least the service is better but it’s not, why do I have to carry a card to scan it every time in the bus? Very buggy . Worked may be 50% of the time . The Bauer service that we used with it was equally horrible and dangerous . So I tried to delete and reinstalled then it’s giving an error message (unrecognized token) when I try log in. ### 1/5 — Crashing *2023-02-22, version 4.0.11* The app crashes every time it opens. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Amazing Reservation System! *2020-12-30, version 4.0.2* I’m really impressed with RidePal and how intuitive they are! I’ve used them with my company for many years and they are very proficient with vehicle tracking and it helps me get to work on time every morning. They are intuitive because during this pandemic they have developed a reservation system that allows me to book my ride ahead of time because seats have been limited on my bus due to social distancing. I’m really thankful that they did this because it makes me feel safe! Thank you ### 2/5 — Mostly works but major issues to fix. *2019-10-24, version 3.0.1* Pro: Overall generally has the route info and the shuttle current location. So delivers the basics usually. Cons: 1) doesn’t work at all offline even just to show scheduled routes and stops. During their server outage the other day that made the app 100% useless. Developer: offline on mobile apps is a major use case. 2) shows all sorts of random routes not affiliated with my company that I need to sift through. Why login if it shows me all this extra stuff? 3) when I choose a route it doesn’t auto zoom to the zone around my location and the shuttle’s current location. You have my location and the bus’s location. Zoom in. 4) App startup time is painfully slow as it blocks the entire UI to load routes etc. 5) No push notifications for shuttle status / late / no tracker etc. 6) Could probably use a “eta to your pickup spot” feature. If the developers spent a few mornings with commuters they could improve the app a lot with these and other optimizations.
