### 4/5 — Why it’s good

*2026-06-30, version 6.2.2*

For me this app has been great. It has been getting me to my school on time and making traveling with discipline and care easier. The app can be slow sometimes but it is very handy and good

### 2/5 — Awful App But No Choice

*2025-08-11, version 6.1.2*

This app is slow. Awful interface. The MTA app is way better. So I wonder why this app serving a smaller system can’t be better. Shame on Path for putting this out there.

### 1/5 — Full of bugs

*2025-08-09, version 6.1.2*

This app is so slow, full of bugs, and poorly designed. PATH, please invest in a better app. The one thing people need from this app is live train tracking and alerts. If you can’t provide that reliably, the app is useless.

### 1/5 — Can’t even get the times right

*2025-07-20, version 6.1.2*

The RidePATH app, “Next train is at 9:30 PM.” Then you arrive at 9:25 PM and the trains either already left or leaving now. I’m sorry why is it okay to not update your times and have accurate schedule on the app?!!!

### 1/5 — Horribly slow

*2025-07-10, version 6.1.2*

It routinely takes 10 seconds to get real time departures for a station. The system only has 13 stations, there’s absolutely no excuse for this from a technical perspective.

Forcing users to scroll horizontally to switch between stations is also a terrible design that makes the app tedious to use.

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-05-19, version 6.1.2*

There’s no point in using the timetable, because the trains are always late or leave early. It’s one of the worst‑managed routes

### 1/5 — schedule

*2025-05-18, version 6.1.2*

guys, the only purpose of this app is showing the right schedule. Guess what, the actual schedule is always different, impossible to plan the commute with this app, useless

### 2/5 — Public transit review 3

*2025-05-11, version 6.1.2*

This app was very confusing. One thing is it dose not have the track number so when I was rushing from NJT to path I did not have enough time to go to the main hall at Newark to find out what track it was on. Second the app dose not update to show what stop the train was at. Last it still showed the trains that had left a long time ago. This was the worse train app so 3 out of 10. Very disappointing

### 3/5 — Accurate times, but slow loading

*2025-04-27, version 6.1.1*

Google maps doesn’t have up to date times. This app gives correct times. But about 10% of the time the countdown time (the main feature) takes 1 min to load or does not at all.

### 1/5 — Slow, train times obscured on screen

*2025-04-13, version 6.1.0*

The app is slow to display the next train. Can only see the next train time since the second one is obscured by some title banner. Trains are mislabeled. The WTC to Newark train is labeled Newark-WTC. Unusable since the latest redesign.

### 1/5 — Slooow

*2025-04-10, version 6.0.0*

I never seen a slow train in my life world trade centre

### 1/5 — Nearly unusable

*2025-04-05, version 6.0.0*

About what you would expect from a government agency that manages to lose $100M+ annually on a train system with 13 stations and jam packed demand with 20 minute headways outside of rush hour.

### 1/5 — Favorites gone!

*2025-04-05, version 6.0.0*

This new update wiped out my favorites. There’s no way to add them back. Also it’s frustrating to have to look at all stations and then the info isn’t user friendly at all. Fix favorites!!

### 1/5 — Slow

*2025-03-24, version 6.0.0*

Too slow at loading countdown times for train departures. Not ok when you need the time at a moments notice. Not only that, but you have manually tap after it’s “loaded” to see the times…why??? Half the time it’s not responsive to even do that. The MTA app does this in seconds, get it together PATH it’s 2024.

Update: sent feedback on the app itself. Almost 2025, nothing was fixed. PATH app engineering team ran by monkeys with a degree from a questionable college. Missed the train again because I didn’t know which train was departing first. Would’ve been fine if app just worked and loaded on time. Can’t believe I’m saying this but the NYC subway app does this far better by miles. JUST LOAD THE TIMES.

Update 2: told me the next Hoboken train was in 10 min, went to Newark instead only for Hoboken train to leave 2 min later… customer service shifted the blame telling me I needed the “update” the app. (It was updated, just MAKE A WORKING APP)

### 1/5 — Design is not user-friendly

*2025-03-12, version 6.0.0*

This new design is so confusing and hard to read with way too many times listed all over the place. It’s hard to find what you need and where.

### 1/5 — Horrible UX

*2025-02-15, version 6.0.0*

Why is the information tile right in the middle of the screen blocking the timetables? No option to clear it.

### 1/5 — Incorrect timings

*2025-01-31, version 6.0.0*

The latest update always has incorrect times.

### 1/5 — Favorites

*2025-01-28, version 6.0.0*

New update wiped out my favorites. Favorites doesn’t work in this updated version.

### 1/5 — Not Accurate For Late Night

*2025-01-26, version 5.3.3*

I ride the path mostly late at night and the app is totally wrong for late nights. The app will say there’s a train 3 minutes away and the board will say 20 minutes away. The board is always correct so why do I even have the app if if it can’t even get the train times right?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Schedules are not accurate

*2026-08-13, version 6.2.2*

The schedules are not in real time. The Newark to WTC line is always 2–3 minutes earlier than the departure time shown in the app. It’s very frustrating if you follow the 9:59 time in the app, the last train before 10 a.m., but it actually departs at 9:56 or 9:57. Then the next train isn’t until 10:13.

I don’t understand how hard it can be to keep the schedule in the app synced with the actual departure times. They constantly increase the fares but can’t even maintain a simple app properly. SMH.

### 1/5 — Why do I need this if schedule is incorrect

*2026-08-01, version 6.2.2*

This is garbage don’t trust the schedule table buffer yourself with more time

### 1/5 — horrible ui

*2026-03-05, version 6.2.0*

real time has absolutely no alerts or updates about a path suspension and shows false information about a path coming soon.

### 1/5 — Terrible App and Even worse service

*2026-02-27, version 6.2.0*

delayed every day. not accurate on the app. this is honestly pathetic

### 1/5 — Worst app I’ve experienced in years

*2026-02-01, version 6.1.2*

This app has one job — to give us the next time for the train and it’s horrible at it. Interface is the opposite of customer friendly. And the app takes forever to update.

### 1/5 — not even close to being accurate

*2026-01-16, version 6.1.2*

PATH should be embarrassed to even offer this

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-12-07, version 6.1.2*

Slow, clumsy interface. How did they get it so wrong? It's awful. Never sure if times are right. They might be - they might not.

### 1/5 — Slooow

*2025-08-23, version 6.1.2*

Please respect the time train is leaving 3 4m before his time

### 1/5 — Incorrect train times constantly

*2025-08-14, version 6.1.2*

Refuses to show any earlier train times departing from WTc Than 10am. It’ll show 8-9am departures for a second before freezing and being stuck on 10 am and on. Absolute garbage app.

### 1/5 — No easy schedule

*2025-08-11, version 6.1.2*

The only value in this app was to show the schedule of the trains easily. Now multiple clicks are required so Google Maps. It’s easier to use and more reliable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — TAPP integration

*2025-12-03, version 6.1.2*

Will this app have an integration with TAPP so that it can become an all in one for train schedule info and ticket/fare payments?

### 5/5 — Good app but has areas to imrove

*2022-08-11*

The app is good. I check the Schedule and take train or walk to station based on that. Never had any issues except one or two occasions over the weekend, due to track maintenance.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2019-08-26, version 3.1.0*

I love this app! Straightforward. No excessive notifications. I’m always working during my commute and I’m never interrupted by notifications!

### 5/5 — Finally

*2019-04-20*

Been waiting 6 years for a ‘real time’ feature for Path scheduling. Was incredibly frustrating in the past, especially on weekends, to plan your day around a train departure and then miss it because it came 5 min early and then have to wait up to 30 for the next one. Just the real time option on this app inspires 5 stars from me. Other options are also appreciated, like the saved favorites, though you should be able to save more than one favorite route and then scroll through them quickly whenever wanted.

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2019-02-09, version 3.0*

Use it everyday to confirm time schedule....now if only the PATH trains were also on time will even be better!

### 5/5 — Better PATH experience

*2018-04-02, version 1.0*

This app has turned into my go-to app for my morning and evening commute

### 5/5 — Easier schedules

*2018-01-25, version 1.0*

Much easier to get the schedules than going to the PATH website

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2018-01-25, version 1.0*

So happy to finally have an official PATH app with real time info. Looks awesome!

### 5/5 — Yes!

*2018-01-24, version 1.0*

This is going to making commenting so much easier!

### 5/5 — App User

*2018-01-24, version 1.0*

Very informative on timetables, timely information on alerts, and ease of planning trip
