## What is Riders Compass?

Riders Compass plans motorcycle rides around the one thing that decides whether the day is good: the weather when you actually get there.

Enter a start and a destination, or just a start and how far you feel like riding, and every checkpoint along the route shows the forecast for the hour you will reach it. Wind, rain, fog, heat, cold and darkness become alerts on the map before you put your helmet on.

PLAN
- Routes from Apple Maps, with up to three alternates
- One way, round trip (back on different roads), or a generated loop of the length you choose
- Up to five stops, avoid tolls, avoid highways
- Departure date up to 16 days ahead

SEE THE RIDE IN 3D
- Fly over a planned route on 3D terrain before you go, with the weather at each checkpoint and the fuel stops on the way
- Replay any recorded ride in 3D, with speed and altitude
- Share the flight as a video to Instagram or wherever you like

WEATHER WHERE AND WHEN YOU RIDE
- Hour-by-hour forecast at each checkpoint, for your arrival time
- Riding-condition rating: good, fair, poor or dangerous
- The route on the map coloured by condition
- Alerts for thunderstorms, ice, strong wind, heavy rain, fog, extreme temperatures and riding after sunset
- Elevation profile with climb and descent

SPEED CAMERAS
- Fixed cameras and average-speed checks marked on every planned route
- Spoken and vibrating warnings while riding, through your helmet headset
- Automatically off where local law does not allow it

FUEL AND FOOD
- Fuel cost estimate for every route from your bike's consumption
- Station prices where governments publish them (France, Austria, Germany)
- Add your motorcycle and its real-world range, and the planner places fuel stops along the route
- Fuel, food and coffee, motorcycle shops, scenic spots, lodging and hospitals near you or along a saved trip, with Look Around previews

RIDE
- Turn-by-turn navigation view for your saved trips, with spoken directions, the next stop, fuel and cameras
- The speed limit of the road you are on, with a spoken warning when you go over it
- Live compass with true heading, speed and altitude
- Record rides, with the track on a map, distance, time and average speed
- Export rides and trips as GPX

CARPLAY
- Pick a saved trip on your car or motorcycle display and follow it there: the road ahead, the next turn, arrival time, your speed and the speed limit, with spoken directions through the vehicle's speakers

YOUR TRIPS
- Save trips and refresh the forecast as departure gets closer
- Start in Apple Maps if you prefer
- Share a summary with the people you ride with

IN YOUR LANGUAGE
- English, Turkish, Dutch and German, switchable inside the app

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account, no server, no analytics, no advertising
- Trips, rides and your profile stay on your iPhone

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.3 — 2026-09-30

• On the car screen your speed sits in one round dial: the ring fills as you near the speed limit, and the dial turns red when you go over it
• Speed camera warnings on the car screen are a small badge instead of a panel over the road
• Rides end on their own when you arrive, with a summary of distance, time and speed, and no longer try to reroute you at the destination

### 1.5.2 — 2026-09-29

• CarPlay keeps moving when your iPhone is locked or shows another app: the arrow, your speed and the side roads update on the car screen
• The turn card on the car screen is dark, and your position sits higher with more road around it
• Planning no longer waits for speed cameras: the route appears right away and the cameras fill in a moment later

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-26

• Navigation no longer pauses at cloverleaf exits and hairpins: the distance to the next turn, the map and the CarPlay screen keep counting down
• The speed limit stays with the road you are on instead of briefly switching to a slip road or side street next to it

### 1.5 — 2026-09-25

• CarPlay: pick a saved trip on your car or motorcycle display and follow it there, with the next turn, arrival time, your speed and spoken directions
• The ride view now shows the speed limit of the road you are on and warns you when you go over it
• Turns sit exactly on the corner, so the distance to the next turn and the spoken cues match the road
• Camera warnings are spoken once, even when the phone and CarPlay both show the ride

### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-19

• Navigation now follows your position accurately on long rides. The distance to the next turn and to your destination no longer runs behind.
