It is still in need feature updates to make level with the original Riffler app. This is disappointing. I would not use the word “riff,” not at all. Seems to be limited to a maximum of 8-bar progressions. The app just keeps playing so there can be no part of your song without it continuously running the riff. That never happened! So if you buy the app, which is a still good deal, then buy it as it stands with no great expectations. ### 3/5 — Great Tool but... *2024-12-06* First of all, this app is very useful and sounds great on it's own... nearly perfect.. but in trying to export audio from this, it cuts off the end so I have no way to end the loop when using it unless i go with an abrupt hard stop.. if this had a way to include the tail, then it can be useful. That said. you can always avoid this by going the midi route, i guess.. but that's not the point.. if im satisfied with these internal sounds, too bad.. The most musical generative software I’ve tried! ### 5/5 — Amazing, just like the first Riffler *2024-02-16* This is such a good app for practicing reading and to get yourself out of writer's block. It's amazing, and I've never seen another app like this. I loved the metal Riffer, this one is great too. One thing though, when I press play, it plays the tab, and auto-scrolls to the right when it plays the next measure, and I can't see the left measure... I wish it didn't scroll at all and just stayed in one place so I can always see the full tab. Could you please fix this? Thanks in advanced. ### 5/5 — Amazing little app for breaking into INSPIRATION! *2023-11-28* This developer just blows my mind, and his design to help artist write music in a simplistic (yet very DEEP) way, is a credit to his skills as artist and developer! I loved his development way back when he was making apps for guitar players to practice solos licks leads in just about ANY genre of music! Then Riffler changed my life as a boring song writer … I was able to generate killer riffs and prose, rhythms and chops with one click “GENERATE” this app is undoubtably the BEST app on IOS for inspiration for killer heavy music of all types! Then comes Riffler Flow! Now I can finally start getting those INTRO’s to the killer rhythms that his first app helped me to come up with! So maybe when I’m done with intros chops rhythms and fills and outtros, he will then develop the Riffler Lead app! lol 5 stars without question! I would love only 2 things! **** #1 ~ The ability to save measures as we do in Riffler … (the ability to say “Oh I love bar 1 and 3 but bar 2 and 4 just don’t have the pop in looking for” then being able to save bar 1 and bar 3 and hitting generate and having the app make bar 2 and 4 new! **** #2 ~ Giving the overall volume a boost (inside the app) of course I can do this if I save the song as a wav (export or even a MIDI export) then boosting the track… or (and I’m not sure if I can, but I know we have the ability in Riffler to open as an AUV3 and boosting at that point in the DAW however I do feel the the stand alone is a bit low on volume, so boosting at the apps base code would be a HUGE help! Once again I thank you! I know when Riffler first hit the App Store I bought it, then I believe I was the first to ask for the ability to change each note… which wasn’t easy with the first releases of the app, until “Juice” Juice opened a whole new creative ability (but I will say we lost that KILLER sound you had) which is still unbeatable! The sound you had when this app FIRST dropped … OMG )JAW DROPPING is the ONLY way to describe the tone! But you had to sacrifice that tone for the ability to open the whole CREATIVE side (so I understand) I know it wasn’t easy, because EVERY FREAKING NOTE was pain stakenly added … that tone (my Good God in heaven my friend) it was absolutely transcending !!! I always wanted to ask what your rig was so I could go out and set up just like you! I have a Les Paul Custom ‘57 remake (1998 edition) black and cream as well as *** Kramer SM1 One of my favorite guitars of ALL time!!!!!! and finally a Fender Strat (that identifies as an American Strat … but is actually a China Strat! lol I use a Marshall half stack, and I also have a Fender tweed (2 - 10inch speaker studio amp) In which I mic with a Shure SM57 But find myself using Rhino auv3 as my amp and headphones I have a Martin (can’t remember the type but it was less than a $1000 more than $800) sounds amazing, just not the top of the line! just can’t remember the exact price in 2007 Alveraz Studio (with the individual porcelian pick ups) and a Bass by Ibanez with Active pickup. I have a few MIDI Keys by M-audio Oxygen 88 as well as various Korg and Auturian desktop keys and controllers! I use the new M2 Mac as well as an iPad Pro (biggest screen available) and an iPhone 13 I love the ability to use my phone as the mouse for Logic Pro for Mac and Garage Band on my iPad Pro! I use Cubasis as well as AUM and App Matrix (like AUM) On my PC tower I use Windows (XP) the NEW black release because I have over $30,000 in effects and Synths, Vocal as well and instrument VST/VSTi’s So my work flow is somewhat a patch cable NIGHTMARE!!! ### 5/5 — Excellent addition to the stable *2023-11-25* Easy to use and generates great sounding guitar music. Worth investigating. ### 4/5 — Inspirational, but… *2025-12-28* I love this app for finding inspiration and programming my own chord progressions, but the output midi files from the app are not compatible with Ableton Live or Scaler 3. That makes this app almost unusable. Please make them midi compliant. ### 4/5 — A very solid 4/5. *2024-12-14* Generally speaking this a worthwhile app that is capable of adding a lot of character to a track and in a variety of genres - I’ve used it with good results on a dance track, a reggae tune, and a pop ballad and it was versatile enough to help fill out otherwise minimalist songs. The interface isn’t my favorite, although it’s mostly serviceable. Would also like to see more developed editing capabilities for making slight tweaks to a generated arrangement in the app (so I’m not trying to achieve them with destructive edits afterwards.)
