## What is RiftWords?

A daily word puzzle in forty languages, each one built from the ground up in its own tongue. Tap letters on a 7×10 grid to spell a word, watch it clear, and new letters fall from the top. Three modes are free; a fourth unlocks with RiftWords+. Every player who speaks your language gets the same daily board, on the same day, with the same odds.

WHY RIFTWORDS IS DIFFERENT
Most word games ship in English and bolt translations on later. RiftWords was built the other way around. Each of its forty languages carries its own dictionary, drawn from real letter-frequency data in that language, not a word list run through a translator. The letter bag, the validation, and the daily share card are rebuilt per language. Russian, Ukrainian, Greek with full polytonic script, the Armenian alphabet, Georgian Mkhedruli, and Japanese kana are all first-class, not stretch goals. You play in your language the way a native speaker would.

THREE FREE MODES, ONE GRID
Daily is one puzzle a day in your language, three minutes, one attempt, resetting at your local midnight, with a share card that captures your score, your best word, and the rifts you cleared. Blitz is a three-minute lightning round where you spell as fast as you can and chase a high score. Zen drops the clock and the limits and leaves only the spelling.

RIFT TILES
The board fights back. Three kinds of permanent special cells turn every game into a small puzzle inside the bigger one. Volatile tiles tick down with every word you submit; miss the deadline and they detonate, taking neighbors with them. Scramble tiles randomize the rest of their row the moment you clear a word in it, so the board you just memorized is gone. Cursed tiles deduct points for every cursed letter in your word, and sometimes they sit on the only path to the high-value play.

POWER-UPS AND RIFTSHARDS
RiftShards are the game's currency. Earn them as you play, then spend them in the store on power-ups that bend the board. Row, Column, and Cluster blasts clear a line or a 3×3 pocket you choose. Cross clears the whole row and column through a tile; X clears both diagonals. A Nuke clears the entire board. When you stall, rescues step in: Hint surfaces a playable word, Wildcard turns a tile into any letter, and Continue saves a run before it ends. Blitz and Ascent still hand you power-ups as you climb, and the store is there when you want more.

RIFTWORDS+
A single one-time upgrade. No subscription, no loot boxes, no energy timers. It unlocks Ascent, the fourth mode, an endless climb where the words grow longer every level, and it removes the optional rewarded ads that otherwise appear between rounds.

DESIGNED FOR QUIET PLAY
No flashing rewards, no streak-anxiety pressure, no dark patterns. A hands-on tutorial walks you through the board in any of the forty languages, and you can skip it the moment you would rather just play. The reference points are the New York Times Games section, Monument Valley, and A Little to the Left. RiftWords reads the way it plays. Considered, confident, a little curious.

OFFLINE BY DEFAULT
Bundled dictionaries ship for every language. The game works on a plane, in a tunnel, or on the subway. No account required. No login wall.
