### 2/5 — Defunct?

*2026-02-28*

Used to be reliable, but there is no update past January

### 3/5 — please seperate oil and gas count

*2023-06-02, version 4.1*

cannot see natural gas rig count alone.

### 3/5 — Continuity Issue

*2016-02-24*

Great app other than it uses blue for the gas wells on the home tab then uses orange for gas rigs on the map tab. Please change it and make one color for gas and another for oil across both tabs.

### 2/5 — Good app until last update

*2015-08-18, version 2.0*

Last update was terrible you messed up a great app. Bring back the old one. The Pin heads were better then the triangles.this app was five stars before the last update now it's only a two

### 2/5 — What Happened to Oil and Gas Counts?

*2015-07-10, version 2.0*

Will be 5 stars once the oil and gas directed rig counts are added! Otherwise, very nice.

### 2/5 — No more natural gas layer ?

*2015-07-07, version 2.0*

Please add back the natural gas riggs count as a filter on home page ( not only on map) - also the new app keeps asking to refresh rigg data

### 2/5 — Has Potential, Please Continue to Develop

*2013-05-23, version 1.1.3*

Wonderful idea, good development, and a potential to be very useful.

Pro's:
Interactive Map

Con's:
Map does me little good without stats, data, and numbers. Give me a sum count of each rig color code category. It would be very easy to report the count and percent breakout after the category in the legend. IE Oil (1100, 72%) Gas (426, 28%) Thermal (1, 0%).

Would also like to see the historic counts broken out by Month, Quarter, and Year in tabular and graphical form.

Formatting issues on iPad version. When you click the i info button on the bottom right corner of the map the Baker Hughes logo covers up the button, and it doesn't go full screen in landscape view.

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2013-04-13, version 1.1.3*

Needs rig name, lease and well, spud, formation objective. Without these next to useless. With these would be 4 star

### 2/5 — Issue

*2013-04-09, version 1.1.3*

iPad version is missing the blue toolbar with active rig counts. Waiting for update and fix.

### 1/5 — RigFinder

*2013-02-14, version 1.1.3*

Check out RigFinder if you want Canadian rigs. I use it all the time and it works wicked! Linked to google maps for step by step directions on even the most off road lease roads....

### 1/5 — What about Canada?

*2013-01-30, version 1.1.3*

Would like to see Canada. And also make the app more helpful, like maybe well calculation, tool explanations, available services. Maybe even a company login for employee's. We could access company mail, job postings. List can go on and on

### 3/5 — Where's Canada?

*2012-12-10, version 1.1.3*

Nice app, would like to see Canadian rig counts.

### 2/5 — Good app but needs more info

*2012-09-24, version 1.1.3*

Please put rig number and company. Needs lease names too. Without that, this app is not very useful. If the rig number and company name was included, I'd give 5 Stars!

### 2/5 — not sure

*2012-08-03, version 1.1.3*

I am not sure I want to update. the last time I did they took out a lot of info. well name, spud date, drill contractor.

### 1/5 — Now useless

*2012-07-24, version 1.1.2*

I used to love this app, but now all it shows is the rig location. It does not give rig name, operator, well name, or anything useful. Without any of that, there isn't much point to this app.

### 1/5 — 1st version

*2012-06-15*

This used to me the best, most useful app out there. The ability to see the well names, ect. were extremely helpful. Now that all of that has been taken away, this app is not nearly as informative as it was. Is there a service (I can even pay for) that has the information that Version 1.0 had? I hope they bring the info back to this otherwise uninformative app!

### 1/5 — So sad

*2012-05-27, version 1.1.2*

Was great before they removed lease name and operator. Also tends to be 3-4 weeks behind. Have had rig on deer lease in La Salle county TX for 4 weeks and still not showing. Put the info back in and charge for it!!- LAW

Like someone doesnt want everyone and or someone to know that WE HAVE NOT BEEN DRILLING!

### 1/5 — Not Working

*2025-05-01*

App hasn’t worked in months. I’ve been using this app for years but now I can’t.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2024-10-25*

The app hasn’t worked for 5 weeks

### 1/5 — No longer works on iPhone

*2024-10-17*

No longer works on iPhone

### 1/5 — App problems

*2024-09-29*

App will not open Shuts off immediately

### 1/5 — Not working after last update

*2024-09-19*

The app has not worked for a few weeks. When I try to open it, it immediately closes. I am not the only one seeing this as I reached out to someone else and they are seeing the same thing. This is also happening on my iPad. Something is broken.

I’ve done all the normal troubleshooting (uninstalling, reinstalling, shutdowns, updates, etc.) Nothing has helped.

It’s a shame because I’ve had this app for years and checked it every Friday and it has always been functional. Now it isn’t working at all. Please fix it.

### 1/5 — State lines

*2020-10-20*

Just an FYI anyone who is color blind can’t see the state lines. Please correct this. Use Blue. White. Black. Anything that’s not in the color blind spectrum.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2017-07-22*

Downloaded it last week. And has never been able to open an use it. It requests always to try again later.

### 1/5 — State Inspector

*2017-03-16*

The app functions okay but the information is inaccurate, at least for the Appalachian region. Rigs are showing as still being in locations where the rig actually moved away over a month ago. Actual rig count for my state is different than what the app states.

### 1/5 — Doesn't seem to work

*2016-03-11, version 3.0*

Every time I press update the number stays exactly the same even though a quick check of other news sites shows me that the rig count has changed. This is over a period of two weeks. Very disappointed with this app

### 5/5 — Oil & Gas Website Owner

*2011-04-17*

This is must have application for anyone having an interest in the dynamically changing shale plays like the Eagle Ford in South Texas. Baker Huges provides a very valuable service for free. Thanks BHI

### 5/5 — Rig count for north america

*2011-03-04, version 1.0.1*

The ONLY app till data which shows current drilling rigs in US states on a maps UI. A valuable tool for many energy professional, investors.
One suggestion: please start listing operating company name so we know the oil or gas company is drilling the well.

### 5/5 — About time!

If you're in the industry, this is a great app. Very accurate and up to date. You won't be disappointed.
