## What is RikaNV Ballistics?

RikaNV Ballistics is the field calculator for the RikaNV device ecosystem for lawful sporting and hunting use. It writes rifle profiles to K-BX rangefinding binocular memory, receives data from Kestrel 5500/5700 weather meters, and includes a camera inclinometer, night-red mode, and group mode. Calculations run on a proprietary engine developed for RikaNV devices, written in C++.

It calculates elevation and windage solutions from rifle and cartridge data, atmosphere, wind, look angle, and Earth rotation.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-09-03

On iPhone you can delete a rifle when more than one exists: the button is on the open rifle card, you can swipe left in the list, and tapping Profile again returns to the list. Deletion used to live only in the list and disappeared if you opened the rifle from the calculation screen. The last remaining rifle still cannot be deleted.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-29

Settings now offer a choice of wind-direction reference. By default the wind is entered relative to the line of fire, exactly as before. Choose «By compass» and the wind is entered in true degrees: when the target azimuth changes, the calculation re-reads it against the barrel for you. Fixed: the keyboard can be dismissed — a «Готово» button now sits above it, and tapping blank space or dragging the list closes it as well.

The solution card now carries a trajectory block: it shows where the target sits relative to the horizon and switches between the bullet's vertical drop and its total lateral drift. Drag along the graph and the selected distance reports elevation, time of flight, velocity, energy, deviation from the line of sight, and both corrections; the graph can be dismissed from the card itself. Once a rangefinder or a rangefinding binocular is connected, the external-devices row shows the device name and firmware version reported by the device.
