## What is Rimb?

Rimb turns the everyday tasks you already do into training data for the next generation of real-world robots.

Robotics teams need vast amounts of real footage showing how people use their hands to complete ordinary tasks — preparing food, folding laundry, assembling parts, tidying up. Rimb lets you capture those moments on your phone and contribute them to the datasets that teach robots how the physical world works.

Recording
- Record upright from either side when the phone is mounted horizontally.
- The screen can be blacked out mid-take: capture keeps writing while the
  display goes dark, so a long session no longer drains the battery lighting
  up a pocket or a headstrap.
- Start and stop now play the system camera sounds, so you can confirm a take
  began without seeing the screen.
- The volume buttons and Camera Control no longer end a take by accident.
- Lens picker shows only the lenses your phone can actually open.
- Switching apps or locking the phone finishes the take cleanly instead of
  leaving it stuck.

Uploads
- Much faster: parts of a recording now upload in parallel.
- Uploads keep running when you leave the app, and resume after a failure
  instead of starting the file over.
- The progress view shows what the upload is doing, not just a percentage.
- Long recordings and large files upload reliably.

Tasks
- Tasks are matched to your country, with local rates and video instructions.

Plus a large round of fixes across capture and upload: recordings no longer go
missing, and a take that failed at the first frame is caught before you submit.
