It’s been happening to me for a couple of months now. I have over 30 devices, most of which are pro floodlight cameras. I highly recommend these devices. They’ve become incredible since Amazon acquired Ring years ago. I have a suggestion for Amazon: offer people 6 hours of playback without requiring a subscription. I believe this model would encourage more people to subscribe, especially when they realize 6 hours is a great feature. Over time, I think it will make them want more time to review their recordings. Thank you, Amazon, for being such an amazing company! I’m a loyal product subscriber and shareholder. ___________________A very stupid thing started happening with iOS 18. If you’re wearing your AirPods and speaking on a phone call. If you have critical notifications turned on at your doorbell the notification keeps cutting the connection to your AirPods repeatedly. Live view loads forever. Motion sensors react late. Video playback freezes CONSTANTLY so can’t see anything. Audio still goes but drops out too. It’s been reset multiple times. My RSS strength is 42. It’s not a wifi problem. Ring are adamant it’s a connection issue. It isn’t. Also had the problem others have had where it randomly logged us out, told us plan wasn’t attached to the device, and transfer plan to new device (which was done already) … just way too many problems for a new gen device to be acting like this. Did they send out a bunch of lemons? Not happy with ring. One more reset and will just trash it if no fix and buy different company! ### 1/5 — Does not always capture movement *2026-08-06, version 5.109.0* Several instances as I looked out my peep hole and saw a person walking pass it wasn't captured, this happens on a regular basis , why is that? ### 1/5 — Snapshot frequency too low *2026-08-06, version 5.109.0* They now only allow minimum 15s snapshot frequency without upgrading - this would be fine if they capture person and event accurately- which is not always the case. So when they miss identifying a person passing by, the person would not show up in the history video at all because the 15s is a long enough gap between the snapshots. Ring should increase the frequency without user has the upgrading because capturing a person is a basic function that customers choose the product. ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-08-06, version 5.109.0* If you can avoid them all together, do it before you are hooked. The issue is that they are basically useless if you don’t pay the huge monthly fees. Ring is not a good reliable product. when you go into the last bit of power saving mode and suddenly you have a knock at your door at 5am and you are in power save mode you cannot just force it into a last ditch effort to see or record an event. recorded events require a subscription. I also found the Apple version of this program to not follow my specific audio and notification settings.
